How many of us wish we could undo something we did or change something we said? How many of us wish we could have made more productive choices earlier in life? How many of us wish we could enhance our lives, or change the course of our future . . . but do not know how? Throughout the years, there have been many great works that presented theories and concepts to help us understand what motivates behavior and how thoughts are processed to produce those behaviors. The Journey to Be Your Own Best Friend draws on the works of several of the worlds most recognized experts in human behavior and, for the first time, adds the ingredient of transformational thinking to help us discover our power within and thus the path to a more fulfilling and joyous life. On The Journey to Be Your Own Best Friend, you will find strategies and tools that will guide you through this journey. Through the Rational Thinking Process you will find alternative ways to think through situations and make more productive choices. Through the Art of Mushin you will learn ways to modify your behavior and manifest a more desirable outcome. The Art, Science and Practice of Positive Thinking, and the System of Deliberate Thought will provide additional tools to help you focus your thoughts. This journey will help you to discover how to use your power within, and your emotional guidance system to create the relationships and the happiness you desire. The Journey to Be Your Own Best Friend will enable you to start a new history with each passing day and become the person you choose to be . . . your own best friend. Invest in yourself. You are worth it!

4.0 out of 5 stars You can be your own best friend our worst enemy, October 11, 2008
This book gives useful information to those of us you beat ourselves up with our own self talk in our heads. The main principle of the book is that in life we do the best we can in each situation based on what we know at the time. We should learn from our mistakes and move on, not beat ourselves up over it. Also we should negotiate with people in our lives NOT just compromise our own needs. Also all things that exist in our lives should be there because we allow them, we should not have things, people, our circumstances in our lives that should not be there but we tolerate them instead of removing them. This is a nice book that expands into many interesting topics, most people interested in self improvement will learn from it and enjoy the information. Some may find it to basic if you are advanced in reading self help books, and been to seminars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Self-Help Book, February 6, 2010
This book is well organized and is written in a style which is very easy to read. It discusses important principles of life and gives sound advice to anyone who questions themselves. The author presents scenarios which can help you change your life in positive ways while building your self esteem and confidence. A major premise of the book is that we should be comfortable with who we are. When we accept this premise it is easier for us to live a happy and productive life. Also, the author discusses how we should negotiate with people in our lives and not just compromise the things that are important to us. The book is filled with interesting ideas and examples of how we can improve ourselves. If you are interested in self-help this book is a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening, July 10, 2008
This is a very refreshing and enlightening book. It delivers you a very sincere message which boosts your bio-energy making you feel more confident and courageous. It is very obvious that the knowledge of the book comes from a first hand, insightful life experience. When I first read the book I felt so comfortable, I felt like talking to a close friend. The sincerity of the tone of the author eliminates the boundaries between you and the book and makes you feel like you are engaged in a talk which you can only have with your best friend.
