"The Journey" is not only extremely soothing, it is truly therapeutic! I often recommended Dean Raskin's music to patients and to readers of my Diabetic.com newsletter. His CD's help them reduce their stress--an important part of diabetes control.As for myself...listening to his music is a delicious treat-- especially "The Journey", which is just exquisite! I highly recommend it!

In Magic Garden (Dean's first CD), we heard only a smidgen of his electric violin. In THE JOURNEY, we hear this magical instrument come to life in the hands of a masterful musician and composer!
The melodies are captivating and draw the listener into deep relaxation. And the beauty on the surface pulls you deep into the wonder that lies beneath, leaving you floating in a very peaceful soundspace. Put it on during meditation, yoga, or while getting a massage. Or just sit in its beauty. You'll see what I mean. The melodies softly dissolve my consciousness into the peaceful ambience created by the music itself. Here instrument, artist, and melody converge into a Oneness that transcends explanation.

Am I missing something?,

So many people love this music, that I can't help feel it's me who is missing something. I found it irritating, plucky, distracting, fragmented and tense. Needless to say, I didn't relax. I'm a relaxation therapist and had bought it for my clients as well as myself. Reading so many praises and unable to listen to samples from my computer, ...
