"The Journey" is not only extremely soothing, it is truly therapeutic! I often recommended Dean Raskin's music to patients and to readers of my Diabetic.com newsletter. His CD's help them reduce their stress--an important part of diabetes control.

As for myself...listening to his music is a delicious treat-- especially "The Journey", which is just exquisite! I highly recommend it!

In Magic Garden (Dean's first CD), we heard only a smidgen of his electric violin. In THE JOURNEY, we hear this magical instrument come to life in the hands of a masterful musician and composer!

The melodies are captivating and draw the listener into deep relaxation. And the beauty on the surface pulls you deep into the wonder that lies beneath, leaving you floating in a very peaceful soundspace.

Put it on during meditation, yoga, or while getting a massage. Or just sit in its beauty. You'll see what I mean.

The melodies softly dissolve my consciousness into the peaceful ambience created by the music itself. Here instrument, artist, and melody converge into a Oneness that transcends explanation.

So many people love this music, that I can't help feel it's me who is missing something. I found it irritating, plucky, distracting, fragmented and tense. Needless to say, I didn't relax. I'm a relaxation therapist and had bought it for my clients as well as myself. Reading so many praises and unable to listen to samples from my computer, ...

When I first heard The Journey I closed my eyes, fell into a series of deep full breathes. Before long my scalp was tingling. Padma Sahasrara. I was in a state of bliss for the next 90 minutes. That sold me on Dean Raskin. We spin him in our Dallas store regularly now. This is excellent massage music. Good for naps too. Sometimes I enjoy just intently listening as the music unfolds.

Mention the words bring nature into the museum and invariably you will have the conservation staff reaching for a can of bug spray! For some of us however, the melodic sounds of nature and soothing melodies are a welcome antidote to the hustle and bustle of budgets and exhibition deadlines. I don't know how you handle stress but speaking personally, I have always enjoyed having a CD of relaxation music in the office, to get those alpha waves leveling out. A little while ago I discovered the compositions of Dean Raskin. The artist has sent me a copy of his recent CD The Journey – deep relaxation and I am enthusiastic in my endorsement of all 12 tracks. A personal favourite is track three – Dancing Fireflies, with its clever plucking of strings against a mellow backdrop of sound. Available from Middle C records and most conveniently through Amazon.com the Journey is a must for leveling out after a hard day at the office. The musicianship is skillful and the mastering quality ensures an ambience that embraces the listener. Raskin does a marvelous job of creating the theme music to an inner world where we can find peace and escape from the stresses of our everyday frenzied world.

This is beautiful work. The nice melodies help me to relax. The spirit of the artist surfaces in each piece...I picture a soft person, spiritually deep, wonderfully loving. The music tranquilizes any moment. The notes echo off the mountains. The melodies rest softly like a fresh-fallen snow. I smile.
