A very entertaining read,
By Cohan Sujay Carlos (Raleigh, NC United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Journey into Mathematics, A: An Introduction to Proofs (Hardcover)
The book has a very interesting approach to a wide range of topics in maths. Uses lots of anecdotes and historical facts to motivate the reader. I haven't really sat down to the exercises, but I love the stories and pointers.. sure shall get at the sources mentioned, sometime.

I have no idea how anyone would call this "good condition". Anyone who looks at this book would be a stretch to call it "moderate". Previous owner(s) wrote notes in pen on every page and seemed to have incoherantly highlighted and/or underlined every word in the book. It seemed like joke at first. The only reason for 2 stars instead of one is because the book was refunded ($8 value). I like free books and will deal with it (I would have likely bought even if it said "good binder - lots of writing"), but when advertised I as "good condition" this is very disappointing and I feel mislead. If you are someone who wants a "good condition" book look elsewhere, it is likely they don't even look through books. Wish I had a way to show pictures. However I appeciate the refund, at least they take responsibility for it.
