Photographing two Learjets in order to test his new camera, Samuel Ross forgets the angry man who tries to stop him, but his new life in Oklahoma is disrupted by the arrival of four thugs who are demanding his film.

One of the most memorable trips took place on the far side of Lake Lawtonka, at the base of Mt. Scott. He and his best friend, Gary, spent the day shooting shad with bow and arrows, cutting bank poles, and getting ready to go when their dads got home from work.
Although there was no "monster" in Lake Lawtonka, one night there was a "sneak attack" by a rather large catfish tail. Checking the bank poles was not nearly as fun or "free" after that point, but it was the inspiration for this story.
Bill Wallace has won nineteen children's state awards and been awarded the Arrell Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award for Children's Literature from the Oklahoma Center for the Book.

I read Journey into Terror and it was great! It's about a boy named Samuel Ross whose parents are divorced. When he's visiting his dad, before he gets on the plane, he snaps two pictures of Learjets. When he is with his dad, he finds out he has a brother named Gary who is goofy and silly. Also he finds out he won a contest for a picture. He lies to his dad about what he took for the photograph. Soon four thugs come and are looking for a picture that someone took. This book is exciting and you should read this to find out what happens next!Caleb 4th Grader Ishpeming, MI

I bought this book for my son. I didn't read it, but he said it was a very good book, so I gave it a four star rating.

Excellent condition. I wish shipping was not so expensive. I would order a class set of 30 if I could afford it.
