4.0 out of 5 stars Looking Into Antiquity
Sitchen has written an interesting description of his travels in search of documenting his previous books on the Annunaki and also his near death attempt. The book is chock full of photographs and his documentation is there for all to see that the etraterrestrials have been here and left us a legacy. For those who have a desire to understand our historical origins and...

Sitchen has some interesting notations on Egypt and relations within Mesopatomia, however, I found this book to be below average in terms of Egyptian history and evolution. I enjoyed his previous books more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, July 11, 2008
Don't let the bad publicity against Mr. Sitchin influence your mind.
Many jealous people and especially failed writers hate him.
We all understand that.
There is a person in America who asked the authorities to put him in jail.
Crazy!
Only in America people massacre others with dirty words,
personality assassination and personal hatred. What they do?
They are incapable of writing successful books
so they began to throw dirt from their mouth
and snake-style criticism.

Mr. Sitchin is a remarkable writer.

Respected all over the world.

I collect all his books.

S. Mahdi, Cairo, Egypt.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mysteries are never solved, October 26, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like the previous book (Journeys) this one also has superb hard-to-get and never-seen-before color photographs which accompany several interesting stories about Sitchin journeys. There are fewer stories than in the previous Expeditions book and they are not as deep and full, though not bad at all. Much of the material is references to other books of the 12th Planet series, so if one has not read them before - this book is not the best place to start.
One of the very good observations in the book is about the fact the ME antique authorities and also the population do their uttermost to discourage or prevent archeological discoveries to be done by Westernes, that may shatter the dogmatic nationalistic ethos about history, culture and roots on the current Middle East inhabitants. That really explained me all these tensions around the digs that regulary appear in the news.
One thing that looked strange was the fact that in the both journey books, while describing the Sitchin fans voyages, it looks like each time there is a really intriguing site or place or event to visit or to attend, Sitchin dispatches the accompanying group back to the hotel or back to the USA, and proceeds by himself or with his wife or one of confidants only - this pattern leaves a suspision that this pack of sucker fans is probably used just to cover Sitchin travel expences - I hope I'm wrong - but that's the impression...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sitchin's Journeys to the Mythical Past Review, July 13, 2009

A Sitchin classic! His documentation and interpretation of ancient myths is unmatched by any contemparary scholar. No other researcher in his field can compare to his intense logic, focused common sense or ability to draw conclusions based strictly on the evidence rather than on conventional wisdom, cultural tradition or academic narrow-mindedness. A must read as a continuation of Sitchin's Earth Chronicles series.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in the "alternative" history record of our planet. It is clearly and concisely written.
Superbly exciting reading. Truly informative and thought provoking.
As always, Dr.Sitchin has produced another winner, and we thank him for it.

Sitchin's Earth Chronicles are an absolute MUST READ for those who wish to know the truth that will set you free of historical misconceptions, those misconceptions that deny the reality and truth of what and who we humans really are, and where we came from.
