This book has plenty of recipes for all kinds of health and wellness problems -- everything from dental issues to heart disease and diabetes. I bought this book with the cholesterol and diabetes recipes in mind but there is a lot more here. Clear and easy to understand.

This book has a large list of disorders along with jump-starting menus and recipes to help the reader cope. This book became ever so much more valuable when I found out that Medicare does not consider Nutritionists or dieticians as being necessary to a person's well-being. One of the very best books on nutrition and its relationship to health wellness I have ever found.

Joy Bauer uses her nutritionist's expertise to give us pointers on how to use food and our daily diet to prevent and cure chronic ailments such as high cholesterol, heart disease and diabetes that are so prevalent in people today. With the cost of being sick so heavy on the pocket nowadays, in terms of expensive drugs & doctor visits, as well as sick days, the information provided in this book helps us maintain our health, which is ultimately, our wealth.

Great book....great price...great deal...timely delivery..
Natural food cures are preferable to medication, often after the fact that disease sets in, preventative health is definately the way to go...

I really enjoyed Joy Bauer's Food Cures. It's easy to read and although I have an e-reader, I like the idea of marking important pages and easily referring to special sections.

I bought this book hoping to find natural ways to deal with and improve blood pressure that gets too low, but found this topic is apparently not discussed, and so I'm disappointed in that. I realize that such a problem occurs less often than hypertension does. Perhaps in the future she or another medical/nutrition writer might consider reseaching and writing for those who suffer from hypotension. and ways/food to improve it. I have found quite a bit of information online, but it is a very time-consuming task to do all the research necessary and to put it into an organized format.

However, I did give the book four stars because I feel it is well-organized and well-written and would probably help many people with the specific problems the author does discuss such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, and so on. The recipes and advice she gives would probably be helpful to sufferers of these illnesses.

This book has been very helpful. I have arthritis which causes swelling and inflammation but am unable to use anti-inflammatory drugs. Because of this I have turned to other ways to help. This book has been so helpful. I now am so much better by eating foods that help that problem. It also is a more healthful way to go. The other bonus is that I've been losing weight. Thanks for this book!!
