5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for all paper crafters
This is the best and easiest book to give inspiration. The ideas are quick and each comes with a sketch and multiple examples of how to adapt the sketch. It is a book I pull out again and again!

2.0 out of 5 stars the joy of card making
I have so many card making books and magazines. This
book seemed repetitive and fairly elementry. I don't see myself
using more than reading it once. A person just starting out
making cards might find it quite imformative.

5.0 out of 5 stars A font of great ideas for cardmaking, April 17, 2006

I agree with the other reviewer: I loved reading this book. I pored over every page and card idea.
You get one sample recipe or template where the how-to's are explained and then several riffs on the recipe, all very different and done by different designers. It was easy enough to figure out how these other cards were made.
I would describe the card elements used as being mostly those in a scrapbooker's arsenal: embellishments, ribbon, and patterned paper, and the designs are all very clean and contemporary. Hallelujah! There is hardly a country or Victorian/romance design in the bunch and for that I am very grateful.
I am excited to get going on making some of these.

2.0 out of 5 stars A magazine?, June 26, 2006

I thought this was an actual book, but it is just a thicker magazine. It's okay. Good for the pictures.
