The Pacific "Pops" Orchestra featuring The New Horizon Singers. Arranged and Conducted by Sheldon Cohen. In 1992, Cohen formed The New Horizon Singers, an 80 voice choir that performs several concerts a year. He is also the founder and conductor of the Pacific Pops orchestra. His vision to gather a group of versatile musicians capable of performing many styles of music.
Product Description
The festival of Chanukah is a celebration that reminds the Jewish people of the victory of the Macabees over the oppressive rulers of that time in history. It was then that the altar in the temple was rededicated with the lighting of the menorah. The miracle, that a tiny bit of oil could burn for eight days, has become the focal point of this Jewish Holiday. A spirit of exaltation is evident through the music and the people's enjoyment of this event. The sounds of musical instruments and voices all blend together in our collection of Chanukah songs which will surely allow you to revel in this most meaningful celebration. I found my self getting board but I listened to it twice because I wanted to give it a fair chance.
I've come to the conclusion that it's alright for background music but it won't be a holiday favorite.
