5.0 out of 5 stars An honest appraisal by a man who loves his subject, April 2, 1999
This review is from: The Joy of Jazz: Swing Era, 1935-1947 (Paperback)
Tom Scanlon presents an easy to read but unfortunately short review of the swing era from personal experience and expertise. Although the book contains (too) few photographs, the index, bibliography and recommended reading and recordings lists make it a valuabe reference book besides.
