I enjoyed this book it was a nice love story. It was a little slow at times where I wished they would hurry up and get to the point. But overall the book was good.

Joy and Paine was a wonderful and enjoyable pageturner! Joy, a drop dead gorgeous hip hop dancer and Paine, a handsome computer analyst fell in love with each other almost from first sight. The author takes her readers on an emotional rollercoaster ride as Paine introduces Joy to his family at a football game. The drama starts when they find out she is a video girl and when Paine's married ex girlfriend shows up to tell him she's pregnant.

Paine's brothers warn and advise him to stay away from Joy because she's bad news and has a bad reputation thanks to her ex boyfriend. But it's too late to stay away from her because he has already fallen in love with her. Joy is accused of sleeping with rappers to get in their videos, she's associated with the video vixen book and she has a secret that is brought out by a private investigator. (drama, drama, DRAMA!)

Joy and Paine is full of drama, love, sex, unexpected twists, secrets and lies. I love this author's writing style. The story just flowed and it was hard to put down. I will definitely read her other book that's out, Rap Star. This is definitely not a story to miss!

I absolutely love this author! I've read two other books that she has written: Rap Star and Fallen Star. They both were absolutely awesome. Now this one (Joy and Paine) has to be one that I will put on my list of "The Best Books That I've Ever Read"! The only negative about this book is the grammar and typo errors. Those negatives didn't at all take away from the wonderful story of Joy and Paine, but they are worth mentioning. When I say that I couldn't put this book down, that is an understatement! Please Ya'll DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BOOK! If you love Torn by Keisha Ervin (or any of her other books) and anything by Tracy Brown, you will also love this masterpiece by Debra Clayton and her other books. I was glued and captivated from the Cover to the End of this book. The cover photo absolutely captured the main characters as I pictured them to be. Joy was so beautiful and Paine was soooooooo fine! After reading the summary of what the book was about, I was on pins and needles waiting for the "Ultimate Betrayal"! I knew it was going to happen, but I couldn't and didn't believe it was going to happen. Man! Joy and Paine were so real and such a loveable couple with real life relationship drama! I loved all of the characters especially Paine's brothers Peyton and Parrish. NOTE TO THE AUTHOR: Please do a spin off on this book about Parrish and let us know how Joy and Paine are doing! PLEASE! You are a wonderful storyteller and I really hope that you do not wait too long to release your next novel! After I read Rap Star and Fallen Star, I couldn't wait to read something else written by you! And by the way, I read Rap Star and Fallen Star twice! They were that good to me! I couldn't believe that I missed the release date on Joy and Paine! This book has been out since June and I just found it! Wow! I'm so glad that I ordered it and was able to read it this year! Please keep up the good work and Guys, please go get this book today! I'm a fan for life! I'm telling all my friends about this book and this wonderful author Debra Clayton!

Well; She's done it again. Another 'Bookshelf-Hit'. The story was outstanding and had me going from start to finish. I'm a huge fan and this is the 3rd book that I've read from author Debra Clayton. The character 'Joy' is so innocent and some things happen in the story that got me all upset with her but I couldn't put the book down and I'm glad I didn't:) I mean; the story get's deep. I enjoyed reading this book. Trust me people--this story does not disappoint:) I'm looking forward to reading more books by Debra. Awesome!!!
