When you read The Joy of a Promise Kept , you learn how to be the best wife you can be. By encourging your husband he in turn encourages you. The role of a wife can be the most rewarding role you play if we all learn what this role is and then live what we learn. My husband and I have noticed our lives better from information provided to us from this book.

A great book. This book is full of practical ways for wives to honor their husband, themself and God. There is great insight into the differences in the way husbands and wives think, and react to situations in everyday life. Each chapter gives helpful information and direction drawn from real life and scripture. These 12 wives (each of whom write one chapter) of well known Christian men in ministry are real people living real lives and giving us a glimpse into their marriage and home. I first read this book for my own growth and was so impacted by the usefulness of the information the women share, that I have now twice used it as text for a women's study. The format is easy to read and the questions to ponder at the end of each chapter do cause you to look hard into your self, into your marriage relationship and to look hard at what God's plan is and consider if your marriage follows that plan. I recommend this book without hesitation to all married women, those planning to marry. A great gift to a newly-wed.
