5.0 out of 5 stars Beltrami Does it again.
Marco Beltrami is best known for his score work on the "Scream" trilogy, but here it is something totally new. Beltrami uses synth sounds with haunting orchestral to create the perfect recipe for terror. Although my only gripe is there should have been more tracks added. Check out the film then the score. If you make amateur movies like I do. Buy this score to go with your...

Althought I dont own the soundtrack, I think that all of the scoring in the movie was great. The only thing I have a bone to pick with is the fact that you are susposed to give credit to all music used in your movie, even if it is in the background and not included in the soundtrack. Mainly because at the end credits Alice In Chains is not listed for their song "Them...

The only thing I have a bone to pick with is the fact that you are susposed to give credit to all music used in your movie, even if it is in the background and not included in the soundtrack. Mainly because at the end credits Alice In Chains is not listed for their song "Them Bones" (which is the song you hear when Paul Walker's character is driving down the highway), which leads me to believe they didnt ask to use it or just figured no one would care. Thats my two cents

3.0 out of 5 stars An overall okay CD., August 20, 2002

Although I loved the movie, 90% of the people i've talked to who saw it hated it, but that doesn't change my mind about it in any way. The soundtrack didn't have this one song i'm looking for, which had the song that was playing through when he bought the car and was driving down the freeway, does anyone know the name of that song?

For everyone who was looking for the song that plays when Paul Walker's character buys the car and drives down the freeway, is "You're Mine" by "Sinomatic". Great band and song!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful thriller, a wonderful score!, November 6, 2001

To be perfectly honest, JOY RIDE was one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Everything about it was just perfect. Including the wonderful music. Marco Beltrami is a genius to write a fantasically creepy score like this! ***** out of ***** (5/5). Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, July 7, 2005
This review is from: Joy Ride: Original Motion Picture Score (Audio CD)
Although I do not like Paul Walker nor Leelee Sobieski, I did like this movie. I thought it was scary at the right parts and any movie with Steve Zahn - I will watch. He's awesome.
Anyway,
I have a question about the soundtrack.. could anyone tell me the name of the song that plays when Venna and Fuller are drinking in the motel at night? (it's the part when Fuller comes to Venna's room) It's driving me nuts, thanks to anyone who can help.

Decent moody soundtrack, very good movie. The missing "Ride On" song is definitely "You're Mine" by Sinomatic, not "Weightless" by the Old 97's. Both are available via MusicMatch.

I want to know the name of the song in the movie, I think its when theyre pulling into a gas station, maybe leaving, but the lyrics go "Ride on, ride on....", and I can't seem to find the song anywhere. Can anyone help?

5.0 out of 5 stars Old 97's - Weightless, October 15, 2004
This review is from: Joy Ride: Original Motion Picture Score (Audio CD)
~Here's the "ride on ride on" song.~

Old 97's Weightless lyrics

Weightless

I reckon Heaven is a place
Where time is nonexistent, yeah
And the things that are important, yeah
Don't take any time at all

An awful lot like like outer space
Where everything is weightless, yeah
Even heavy things are weightless, yeah
Don't take up any space at all

CHORUS
Right on, right on
Oh yeah it's so clear
All the bad things are gone
All the good things are here

Right on, right on
Oh yeah it's so clear
All the bad things are gone
All the good things are here

Almost exactly like this place
Where you and I are fighting, yeah
I'm so sick and tired of fighting, yeah
Up there we'll never fight at all

REPEAT CHORUS

I reckon Heaven is a place
Where everything is weightless, yeah
Even heavy things are weightless, yeah
Up there we'll never fight at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Searching for a soundtrack, August 26, 2005
This review is from: Joy Ride: Original Motion Picture Score (Audio CD)
I'm searching for the same soundtrack that Fred William Bone asked, when the two brothers just bought the CB and talk for the first time to Rusted nail.
Does anyone know the title ?
Thanks
