Through visualization, tactile sensitivity techniques, and repeated exercise, an ordinary masturbation experience can be turned into a multi-orgasmic experience.
Although (The Joy of) Solo Sex is based on clinical research, it is presented in a humorous, thoughtful and provocative manner. Dr. Litten leads the reader through a journey of self-exploration that helps create a healthy attitude.
This book is likely to appeal to individuals who know that the greatest sex organ lies not between their legs, but rather between the ears. This book contributes to naturalizing the human body and its functions and to promoting a healthy attitude toward sexuality. -- Elizabeth Powers, The Not Naughty News
Let me tell you for sure - you'll enjoy this book. It's priced right, it's funny, it's erotic, and it explores a lot of things you never realized... Bravo, Dr. Litten. -- Ted Fredricks, Centaur
Written for any man who would like to become the true sex connoisseur... SOLO SEX helps men learn to focus the electro-chemical energy in their bodies to stimulate those parts of the brain involved with sexual response. -- Dan Schafer, RFD

Unique & fascinating book about sexual self-satisfaction,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Joy of Solo Sex (Paperback)
Harold Litten is one of the most intelligent writers today on masturbation and sexuality. He discusses this human activity openly and frankly. Let's face it. All men masturbate. They just don't like to admit it. Unfortunately, the idea that masturbation is shameful and ungodly has survived. Harold Litten dispels these myths. If you want to shed many years of guilt about masturbating and enjoying your body, order this book. If your are merely looking for a book that will give you an erection, I suggest that you look elsewhere. This ain't a jerkoff rag.

Waste of Time and Money,

This review is from: The Joy of Solo Sex (Paperback)
The best thing about this self-published book is its table of contents, which are quite provocative. Unfortunately the contents don't deliver. The book seems to be a compendium of Dr. Litten's (a pseudoname and no doctor at that) anecdotes and opinions, supported by suspect-sounding research. There's some interesting information, but altogether not worth the cover price. If you are a guy looking for information on masturbation, there's not much out there, but Cathy Winks _The New Good Vibrations Guide to Sex_ has a good chapter on the subject. But if you're a woman, there's 8 good books by my count on the subject.

Too medical and confusing, NOT for the every day person,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Joy of Solo Sex (Paperback)
The book was not what I expected at all. It had no pictures or drawing. It kept talking about the authors god and his feelings. It was also vary complex, confusing and clinical in every way. It read half like a clinical psych. book and the rest like a list of the authors personal life. I WOULD not buy again or tell some one to buy this book.
