After reading this book I realized I`d missed something... 45 years of leading a HEALTHY successful life! After 25 years climbing the corporate ladder on Wall Street I had lost my health, my family and career. And I consider myself lucky... I saw co-workers lose their lives.

I was so inspired by this book that I donated $1,000 worth of copies to my alma mater so future...

This is a load of new age mubo jumbo about "holograming your dreams" and mystical "codreaming" where things appear miraculously from your wises. She supports her theories with some of the most outlandish and unsupportable "scientific" theories. I am sure it is great news for mid life crisis folks who still think they are the center of the universe even though...

I was so inspired by this book that I donated $1,000 worth of copies to my alma mater so future graduates will have a head start. This book should be in every public school curriculum and on every college Freshman Reading List!

I wish my parents and teachers had taught me what I learned from Susan Ford Collins in one week!

I've never written a review before, but this is one of THE MOST USEFUL books I've ever read. Very INSPIRING........ Very PRACTICAL....... And easy to read. Like hanging out with a wise friend, she explains the success skills through stories I could relate to and use immediately PERSONALLY & PROFESSIONALLY. I found myself looking at life differently from the first chapter on. Order several copies -- you won't want to part with yours, and this is A BOOK YOU'LL WANT TO SHARE !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sound Business Principles!, February 5, 2004

The Joy of Success stands with some of the all time great how-to books, even better, because it follows people before, during and after they become successful...and as we all know success means many different things to many different people.

The author touches on the reality of business and life...show me how you are in your personal life, and this will show how you are in business. What you reflect is what you attract in life.

Holograming or vision is how we set simple and/or complex goals in life. I live these principles on a daily basis. It is how I was able to find my life partner and build my businesses.

New age mumbo jumbo this is not! It is practical every day good advice. Let's face it...to accomplish what we want in life one must set forth a clear and concise plan and live it and breathe it every day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective Personal Improvement,, August 12, 2007
If you are feeling stuck, need help moving forward, and determined to do something about it, this book would be a great starting point. The author gathered more than 20 years of her studying habits of highly successful people, she analyzed the key traits that existed across these individuals, organized her findings, and introduced it in this book.

Many individuals the author consulted with who have different background but face the same challenges, stress from work, feeling overwhelmed, and not being in control. These challenges were dealt with, and each went on to become successful.

What I learned is to be able to look at things from a different perspective, to channel my energy and focus on what I want, how I can improve and achieve my goals.

She supports her theories with some of the most outlandish and unsupportable "scientific" theories. I am sure it is great news for mid life crisis folks who still think they are the center of the universe even though they destroyed their companies (and the economy) with promises they could not keep. Same goes for their marriages. "AH!" they are told-- "You have been living someone else's idea of success!"-that explains it! If you want info on following your dreams after you realize the child within is a raving brat check out Barbara Sher's It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now. At least it's down to earth. The Joy of Success is garbage.
