Normally, I don't care for Joy to the World. I find the repetitive end of each verse to be, well repetitive. To me, the song just doesn't inspire feelings of great joy. This rendition is the exception, however. It's very upbeat and joyful. Yet, it's relatively faithful to the original. It's style is consistent with that of most of Casting Crowns music. I'm a fan of Casting Crowns, though I hadn't purchased their Christmas album. I might have to change that....

They have a sound reminiscent of Christian groups (probably because they are one). Great song, especially for free!

I don't particularly like this version of the song, but I had a need for "Joy to the World", and this one just so happened to be free. I'll be looking for something more substantial next Christmas season.
