Upbeat but faithful rendition of an old standard
Normally, I don't care for Joy to the World. I find the repetitive end of each verse to be, well repetitive. To me, the song just doesn't inspire feelings of great joy. This rendition is the exception, however. It's very upbeat and joyful. Yet, it's relatively faithful to the original. It's style is consistent with that of most of Casting Crowns music. Nothing New
Casting Crowns' version of this standard Christmas song has a violin and a tambourine. That's all that you will find different here than almost every other version of this song. I know Crowns fans will want this CD no matter what I say. But I want to call Mark Hall et al to something higher and better. Make music don't just make CDs.

Great rendition of this Christmas favorite. They didn't mess with it too much to make it irritating and Casting Crowns is top notch in my book anyway. Great song!

Casting Crowns Peace on Earth is my favorite Christmas album. The songs are beautiful and often thought-provoking. Joy to the World is an excellent sampling of the entire album with very nice male/female harmony. Truly a Christ-centered Christmas project.
