5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
Bought for non-stick Wok. But use it for everything. Durable, does not stain, (even with tomato sauce).

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but not the replacement I was hoping for...
A few years ago I had purchased a bamboo angled spatual at World Market and absolutely loved it. It was sturdy and had a wide scraper area and best of all, it was like 3 bucks. Due to the material of bamboo, they have a tendency to wear down after long use moreso than rubber or metal, and when I went to replace mine I was frustrated to find that not only did World Market...

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Spat., August 25, 2007
This review is from: Joyce Chen 14-Inch Burnished Bamboo Angled Spatula (Kitchen)
Perfect for woking. When I recieved mine, the corner of the spatula was cracking so I had to peel back the crack and rub it on the corner of the table to dull it. Nothing that bad, just upsetting to buy something already messed up. Oh well. Excellent overall spat.

4.0 out of 5 stars Woks well, August 28, 2011

Arrived with a splinter of wood on the side but that has not affected the function. It works well just not as thin as a metal tool but it won't scratch off the seasoning of the wok.

A few years ago I had purchased a bamboo angled spatual at World Market and absolutely loved it. It was sturdy and had a wide scraper area and best of all, it was like 3 bucks. Due to the material of bamboo, they have a tendency to wear down after long use moreso than rubber or metal, and when I went to replace mine I was frustrated to find that not only did World Market no longer carry it, I couldn't find one anywhere in stores or online. I came upon this one and thought I had finally found it, however upon arrival I compared the two and this one is almost half smaller in the scoop, which works but not anywhere near as handy as the width of my old one when scooping around in a big wok of food. My old one was probaly over 4" scoop width and this one is maybe around 2.5-3". Anyone who does much wok cooking knows the value in having a wide scoop. It works-I just like my old one better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for woks over 10 inches, January 7, 2012

I have to agree with another reviewer. The head of the spatula is too narrow for true wok cooking. I like the fact it is bamboo. The angle of the head is fine. The head should be at least an inch wider. I now use it when I boil pasta or anything else that need the bottom of the pot to be scraped while cooking...like congee.

I wanted to be excited about this but its just not that great its got next to nothing for a finish and its so angled it was almost spoon like, I just don't like it but thats just my opinion. I am going to go with a stainless turner from an import store.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality, August 31, 2011

Very disappointed in this bamboo spatula. The spatula end is poorly formed. The carving is very uneven on the sides and end. There are very obvious sanding marks in the bowl. If it wasn't such a hassle I'd return it.

Curvature doesn't line up well with wok. Surface area too small. Although not stiff enough, the Good Grips is far better.

Really shouldn't rate this product coz it was broken when it arrived (handle broken in half). I did get a full refund from Amazon (no trouble), customer service was excellent (5 starts for Amazon customer service!).
