Part of the Pro Chef Excalibur Series by Joyce Chen, the 14" Wok Set has the Excalibur reinforced non-stick coating system which has been acclaimed by U.S. retailers, professional chefs, and consumers as the best performing non-stick finish for cookware in today's market and carries a 25 year limited warranty. This wok's professional weight is 2.0 mm of aluminum and carbon steel made for use on gas or electric burners. The Wok's body is comprised of two layers of aluminum surrounding a carbon-steel core for rapid, even heating and cooling ¿ a must for any stir-fry. The Wok Set includes; non stick wok and glass lid. This series features Cherry wood grip and helper handles and the Excalibur non-stick finish is tough enough for metal tools. Joyce Chen opened her first restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1958. The restaurant flourished, and in 1973 a larger Cambridge restaurant was opened. Chen also began writing Chinese cookbooks and in the 1970s began hosting a cooking show on public television. She found that the selection and quality of Chinese cookware in America didn't live up to her high standards¿ so she developed her own. Joyce Chen's slogan "Eastern Cookware for the Western Kitchen," reflects her focus on providing high-quality, versatile tools and products that have Asian flair, but can be used in a western kitchen. This Wok is absolutely the best cooking utensil we have ever had. It cooks very evenly & the surface is just great-cleans up so easily. We use this Wok about 75% of the time, and cook Stews, soups,pasta dishes, stir fries, omelets and is considered first for cooking most of our meals.We just love it and highly recommend it!

This is the best WOK that I could ever imagine. This is my first Wok and wanted something that cooked evenly and was super easy to clean and this fit the bill exactly. I use it at least once per day. Strongly recommended.

We put this on our wedding registry and were lucky to get it as a present. We used it last night for the first time. It cooks evenly and is a sinch to clean. I enjoyed using it and will continue to use it in the future.
