I bought my first pair of these little scissors about 20 years ago and still use them today. They are practically indestructible, however I did manage to melt a spot on the handle when I accidentally laid them on a hot burner. Nevertheless, they still work perfectly and are still sharp after 20 years. I finally broke down and ordered a second pair. If they weren't quite as expensive, I would have a pair in every room. They are just so handy, and even though they are small, they will cut practically anything. They are also very comfortable to use as the handles are large enough for just about any hands.

I actually don't think I could cook without a pair of these in the kitchen. They are the best thing I've found for snipping a few fresh herbs, and can go right to the garden to cut fresh flowers for the dinner table. I have also used them to cut through chicken bones and then tossed them into the dishwasher for sanitizing. If I were to make a list of my favorite kitchen items, these would be right up there with my microplane grater and extra long cooking tweezers that also make my life so much simpler. Bottom line is buy some, you'll love them!

These are the second pair of Joyce Chen scissors that I've purchased. The first on is still going strong, but they are now used for the workshop. These scissors stay sharp and strong, and are indispensable in the kitchen. My wife nagged me to quit using her old pair in my workshop, so I stole them and bought her these new ones. That'll teach her...

I used these to cut lobster tails and now I don't know how I ever managed without them.

When a blade of my original Joyce Chen scissors broke after ten years of hard use I rushed to find a replacement. I stumbled upon a promotional offer from Amazon and ended up buying four pairs of scissors for the price of three and am planning to give several pairs as gifts. For me the scissors are an indispensable kitchen and garden tool. Among other uses, I snip herbs, cut and deadhead flowers, mince parsley and dried fruits, and devein shrimp. Although they are expensive scissors, the handles fit my hand, and the blades are slender and sharp. I gave these scissors five stars because I really couldn't think of any negatives other than the price and the fact that the original pair didn't last forever.

Once you've used these scissors for practically everything -- food, paper, cutting flowers or shrubs, wire -- you'll never use another pair again. Now I give them as gifts to my friends who love them as well.

These scissors are the best ever. Hide them! They have so many uses - in the kitchen, outdoors (small branch trimming), in my greenhouse, in the bathrooms - they fit in anywhere. One pair I have had over a 20 year period and they are "like new."

This is the greatest scissors.It is small and light, but really strong.I use it to prune branches in the garden. I use it to cut thru raw chicken bones when I am making stock. I use it for everything. After 5 years it is still going strong.

Not as large as I expected but very sharp and high quality. Will be interesting to see how they last over the year but so far so good.

The scissors were a little loose when I received them. They came out rusty after one normal cycle wash in the dishwasher. They do not cut small fish bones or plastic wrap so well. I would very much like to return the scissors, but I threw away the packaging and I am not able to find out about their life time warranty. I am much happier with my other kitchen scissors I got from dollar stores.

As a Food Stylist for commercials on TV. I have cut through many a chicken bone or side of beef. My Joyce Chen's are the only utensil that does the job with little effort. I only thought they came in white and red, but to my surprise they came in blue! A favorite color. I have them everywhere in our home and on assignment!
