This large polyethylene cutting board has an exclusive "Spot 'N Chop Color Disc System" which helps to prevent cross contamination. The color discs allow users to identify one side for meats, poultry and seafood, and the other side for fruits and vegetables. NSF approved. Board is 17" x 10" and 9/16" thick.

I bought this cutting board based upon Cook's Illustrated's review. As seems always to be the case, they were right on... it is an excellent board.

Pros:

- great cutting feel (a LOT like a good wooden board)

- lightweight

- fits in the dishwasher

Cons:

- as both sides of the board are meant to be used, neither side has rubber feet to keep it from sliding under the knife. I use a damp towel or washcloth that holds it rock-steady.

Recommended.

We have an assortment of cutting boards of various sizes and material. The board is a nice mid-range size. We don't take great care of our boards so some of the woods ones have warped and cracked. The plastic seems to absorb the chopping action better than our other boards.

This cutting board is easy to use and fits in the dishwasher. It does slide,so I use a towel underneath it.
