It's been driving me crazy: I can't remember how or where I first heard about Girlyman. However I did, I'm grateful. They're wonderful!
This purchase actually was a birthday gift for a friend -- I've been listening to my own copy (and singing unharmoniously along in the car) for months -- and the recipient just called yesterday with enthusiastic thanks, saying I always choose to her taste with my gifts of music.
The songs are beautifully written, the harmonies are gorgeous, the instrumentation simple and fitting. And they're every bit as good in concert as they are on CD, or even better. They performed a few new songs at the last live show I attended, so I hope it won't be too long before their next recording is out. Thanks for the music, Doris, Ty and Nate!
