I already owned this CD, and every other CD by Girlyman, so there was no risk in this purchase. I bought it as a gift for friends of ours.

In the past, I purchased Girlyman CDs directly from their site, to support the artists. This time, the Amazon price was significantly more attractive, and with free shipping (I bought other stuff at the same time), I decided to buy it here.

Everything that Girlyman does is fantastic, but if I could only have one of their CDs, I would choose this one, Joyful Sign (their latest).

This is probably my favorite folk/pop album of all time by any group and has many of my favorite Girlyman songs on it. (It also has a couple of songs that I don't like much, but the vast majority are in the good to excellent range.)

I have a tendency to compare them to Indigo Girls. The lyrics arent quite as profound or poetic, and they can overdue the harmony thing at times, but the songs are enjoyable the CD is in my top50 or so.
