I put this in place of an Ibanez tube screamer on my pedalboard and took it out for a night in a club. Once I had it dialed in, fairly quickly, this became the "go to" overdrive for the night. My fulldrive, my Carl Martin Heavy Drive and my zendrive all got ignored for the evening. Gobs of gain, sustain, the low end stays intact, you can boost your highs if you like. If other Joyo pedals are like this one they are worth every cent.

I grabbed this pedal after watching some reviews on you tube with this being compared to a Fulltone OCD. And you can't tell a difference. I use this pedal as my main Overdrive/Distortion. If your looking for a balls to the wall type of distortion than I wouldn't really recommend this pedal. But if your looking for a mid ground between overdrive and distortion this thing is a amazing. It delivers amazing tone and a lot of flexibility. The lo-hi switch is great. With it switched to high you can get a lot more snarl out of the pedal. But I use it switched to Low. So I use it for a very good dirty gritty sound. And I use another OD pedal to add boost and gain to my sound when needed. It's built exceptionally well bearing in mind its a cheap Chinese knockoff. I would definably replace it if it got lost or stolen. Don't bother spending $130 on a fulltone. I've played out of both pedals and this is probably the closest thing I have ever heard to a OCD pedal. It is true bypass thru and thru. It doesn't suck or kill your tone. It colors over it perfectly, and keeping your original tone in tact. It takes up little space and you can use any type of 9volt adapter that would fit in a typical boss/mxr/EHX/ect pedal. Stop thinking about getting this and just get it.

I got this as a cheap alternative to an OCD pedal. I haven't done an A/B comparison but this sure has some nice sounds to it. I can't see this becoming my main dirty channel, I'm still a tube screamer guy, but when I need this sound I'm satisfied with the job this pedal sounds when getting it. It's built fairly sturdy and I'm happy with it.
