PSP 1000 Joystick Analog Stick Assembly Replacement

When the original joystick assembly on my PSP broke, I looked around online and found that it was relatively easy to replace yourself. I ordered this part and then followed the online instructions to a T. Ever since then, my PSP has been working flawlessly. Its not much of a "toy" in and of itself, but it does its job VERY well.

Works, great price, what more would ya need.

Just make sure you have the proper tool before you start.

This part was very easy to replace, though it doesn't come with instructions on how to do that. A quick search on YouTube will show how to replace it properly.

The time it took to arrive was a bit much. I ordered it for someone one else but it came 9 days later. It arrived in good condition even with the small screwdriver with it. I would recommend it if you have the time.

The company who sends this item delivers it pretty quickly. The price is also very good even if the analog stick works perfectly. I don't know if it will last long enough because I have only been using it for 2 months and it is already starting to drag a bit. My suggestion is to buy 5 of them and have only one shipping. The shipping will alway be like 5 dollars so just get as many as you want in one shipping.

For the price its really great I like the product but im glad I ordered two,because one gave me the same problem I had.but the other one works fine,and I didnt complain because of the price so lol

Bought two of these replacements. I know the drill. They are not real Sony replacements, they are knockoffs of the originals, and they just arent even close in quality to the original analog stick.

That being said, I bought 3, hoping that at least one of them works. So far, two in, and two down. The third one goes in soon. The only reason I havent put that 3rd one in yet is that the second one, as long as you dont touch it, will allow the directional controls to work in some of the games my son plays on this. If you touch it, the car or whatever he is doing, turns right, and you have to push the stick to the left to center the controls and leave it alone. So, I pick the lesser of two evils right now.

Again, these things are a crap shoot as to whether or not you get a good one. I dont know how all these good reviews are coming out for these. I have ordered a total of 6 of these in the past year, and four of the first 5 are garbage right away. The one that worked, worked okay for about 4 months.

They will not last, they are not worth the money, but if you need a replacement, you dont have many options unfortunately. Buy a bunch of them, because as long as you dont get slammed for shipping on each one, you will need them to get a good one.

The merchandise came with a psp analog joystick and a screwdriver as advertised on the picture.When lightly shifting the newly installed analog stick to the left the stick gets stuck(same problem I had with my old one, haha). In addition, the analog Joystick pad has a rough texture. Overall, I guess this was a good buy. got a screwdriver that works at least...

the object came in a timely manner and was in great condition. this product pricing was awesome the psp joystick was a steal and works great.

I have a psp phat and it has had a joystick drifting problem, which is a known issue with the psp, so several reviews said to buy a new joystick, I did and this still did not solve my problem

Pros: looks better than the old one..

Cons: doesn't work any better than thee old one

Turns out I needed to install sofeware on the device to temporarily fix the problem, which works better than a new joystick that does nothing.

Overall: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU HAVE THE DRIFTING JOYSTICK PROBLEM!!!
