This is the the book to give to the budding young scientist. Parents will be assured however, that nothing really goes boom! Kids get to make things like Slime , or silly putty from kitchen and laundry type ingredients. I am just buying one for my nephew ,my kids have had the book for years. I learned a few things too. Must for homeschoolers,I did a years elementary science curriculum around it.
