5.0 out of 5 stars Ju-Jitsu
I think that Eddie Ferrie did a very nice job on the history of Ju-Jitsu and of where other fighting arts sprang from Ju-Jitsu. Ju-Jitsu or Jiu-jitsu is popular once again. Firstly to Europeans in the late 1880's-1930's & today from 1987-2010 and beyond.
I like his easy writing style. This book is a grand introduction into the history (brief & consice). I bought it...

2.0 out of 5 stars A Broad Overview, But Not Much Else
I guess I was expecting a longer, more detailed "textbook" than what I got. I can live with the fact that the pictures and drawings were outdated, but there was no real "meat" to the text, and it was more of an overview of the subject of ju-jitsu than any sort of instructional aid.
