Juan and the Chupacabras is a truly delightful story. The characters are funny, and the Chupacabras creepy. All in all, my kids really enjoyed this book.

This is a good story for starting conversation about the chupacabras without being "scary." My third graders, though, were hoping to have a more gory story. Nonetheless, they were engaged. The illustrations are great!
