5.0 out of 5 stars mi estereo es heroe nacional, January 2, 2001
This review is from: Juan Manuel (Audio CD)
This is a really good album. I am constantly surprised that a band this amazing is virtually unknown in the States except in the rock en español circles. I love Beck and the Beastie Boys, but PMOSH, while similar, blows both of them out of the water for me. A bold statement, I know, but one I feel perfectly confident making. Juan Manuel is their second album, and while I think Aquamosh (their first album) is better as an album, having somewhat more continuity and being a fuller album in a way with a longer playing time, I was not disappointed in the least by Juan Manuel. This album made me want to shake my booty more than Aquamosh did, and it is more tongue in cheek. While they rock out in Aquamosh, they kid around more in Juan Manuel, but the music is just as eclectic and listenable. I love this album to death, I would recommend it to pretty much anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frighteningly good second album, December 14, 2000

With a more laid back (in general) style than the first album, Aquamosh, this release shows a maturing of style as the band progresses. As in the first album, as many styles as possible have been virtually crammed into the tracks on this record, encompassing disco, rock, jazz, rap and as many others as possible; the band retains its retro sound but (and here's the really impressive part) manages to produce an album which sounds almost completely different from the first release, to the point that I, personally, find it difficult to say which album I prefer, or which is better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plastilina Mosh - Juan Manuel, December 3, 2000
