Juan's story is pertinent to us all, as his mother strives to change the insurance requirements for state liscensed day care in Georgia. A fast read, it will change your perspective on prayer, faith, healing and the search for meaning in life's meaningless events.

I first read Jacqueline's book while I was deployed to Iraq in 2003, and it was both informational and inspirational. First, I had no idea that child care providers weren't required to have some type of liability insurance, and it was a complete shock to find out that a child had to suffer a devastating injury in order to bring attention to this problem. Secondly, after reading the book, I was struck by Jacqueline's incredible courage and faith in God to keep her going. I believe that most people would have fainted in the face of such seemingly overwhelming odds, but Jacqueline chose to stand firm on God's word and declare that she(and Juan and Derek) wouldn't give up life so easily. I had not met Jacqueline before going to Iraq, but after meeting her earlier this year for the first time, I'm truly convinced that this is a woman who has a story to tell that will speak volumes about the power of God to empower people to press on, no matter what the odds may appear to be. Jacqueline is truly a minister who loves people, and I believe that God is going to continue to use "Juan's Story" as a means to tell people about Him. I pray that God will continue to bless Jacqueline, Juan, Derek, and those who stand with them in the belief that God is going to fully restore Juan to great health. If you have any doubts whatsoever about God's ability to strengthen you, read this book!

On September 9, 2001, a beautiful Sunday morning, fourteen month old Anthony DeJuan Boatwright was found in a bucket of bleach saturated mop water at a residential Day Care Center in Hephzibah, Georgia. Jacqueline Boatwright records the incident and her journey of faith over the next seven years in this revised edition of her book "Juan's Story."

Juan was given CPR, rushed to Children's hospital, connected to life support systems, and soon pronounced brain dead. Jacqueline refused to accept the doctor's prognosis. The story that follows tells of Jacqueline's adventure in discovering the power of the prayer, of faith, of claiming God's promises, and battling, Satan's attempts at discouragement and unbelief.

The book is written as a testimony for the reader to discover strength in time of weakness, as well as to receive a better understanding of faith and how to master it. The book is filled with scripture promises, examples, and instruction on prayer and claiming the promises of God.

On Juan's behalf, Jackie, has shared his story through newspaper articles, television appearances, personal speaking engagements, and as a child support activist.

"Juan's Story" is dynamic, powerful, and heart rending. This is a book every parent of preschoolers, daycare workers, emergency first responders, and those in the medical profession should read.

This book was such a comfort to me. I applaud Jackie for her strength, love and faith. She reveals the certainty of God's promises even during these uncertain times. Every mother and father, every Christian, every person should read this book! It is an excellent testimony of trials, suffering, courage and faith. The story of Juan gives me hope in God's plan for my life and appreciation for the blessings he has given me. Juan's tale is a story of hope, faith, determination and perserverance. I recommend it to anyone looking for assurance in this sometimes insecure world. I look forward to hearing more about Juan's Story and future progress as promised to him through Jackie's faith in our Redeemer.

EXCELLENT! I met Ms.Boatwright while in hr store with a friend. I saw the book and was immediately drawn to it. I started reading it while I was in the store. The book was included in my friend's purchase. It was so good,I read the book in one day. Lots of tears flowed because the story is tragic but it is by far very inspirational and educational. It is worth the read especially in terms of learning what "true faith" is in terms of believing in GOD and knowing that through HIM ALL things are possible.
Thank you Ms. Boatwright.

This is an inspirational, faith strengthening, heart-wrenching story. You come away from it knowing that God is indeed in control and never leaves nor forsakes those that belong to Him.

Thank you Jackie for sharing your faith with us and strengthening our own. Thank you for the fight you have endured to get Juan's Law passed. So many will benefit from the battle you waged and won through God's grace.

Thank you Juan for showing us that angels do exist.

In Christ
