3.0 out of 5 stars Compilation of older works, September 15, 2008

(REAL NAME)
The most useful aspect of this product is the CD that comes with it, that allows for searching text. If you don't own any books on Hebrew amulets already, this is probably a good start. If you own Davis' or Schrire's books, you'll recognize the material in this one. It's simply better organized.

5.0 out of 5 stars A tool, not a text, January 11, 2007
This is, by far, one of the most valuable tools for the collector of Hebrew and Aramaic Kameyot, whether they are an amateur hobyist or a museum curator. The text provides an alphabetical listing of various kameya abbreviations across all techniques common to known kameyot writing.

It is somewhat necessary for the reader to have minimal Hebrew skills and rather useful to have a Hebrew/English Tanakh on hand (an interlinear version is recommended for those with little to no Hebrew experience).

It is important to note that this is not a scholarly text about kameyot, but a collection of kameyot abbreviations. It is quite simply a resource book.
