5.0 out of 5 stars Judaic Mysticism
"The Torah path is so old as to be almost beyond grasping ... Arising in a time that did not yet know glass, cotton, or iron, and continuing to the present, it is a wisdom that has survived every travail, probed every psychology and mask of the soul. It is eminently fitted for today's problems, for it has in the fullness of time, dealt with every problem."...

1.0 out of 5 stars Judaic Mysticism by Avram Davis
This book is a very easy read, but very low in content about actual Judaic Mysticism. I would only recommend this book to the reader who wants the simplest overview with little substance for learning. You get the usual simple definitions and general overview. Very poor quality for anyone wanting indept study of Judaic Mysticism.

"The Torah path is so old as to be almost beyond grasping ... It is eminently fitted for today's problems, for it has in the fullness of time, dealt with every problem."

Thus begins Judaic Mysticism, an insightful entry into the many aspects of Judaic traditions, histories, secrets, and paradoxical truths - and the first book in a new series from Hyperion, The Mystic Library.

Judaism and its traditions have been a source of comfort and insight for five millennia worth of believers. In Judaic Mysticism, you will discover what this rich source of religious mysticism has to offer, including:

In the Beginning: Where the mystical traditions began and how they evolved
Everyday Blesings: One hundred blessings a day for all reasons
The Holy Year: The holidays in the Jewish calendar; their meanings and rituals
The Ten Gates: The Kabbalah, its history, symbols, and modern interpretations
Keeping the Flame Alive: An appendix of Judaic centers and schools

With its stunning classical art and stylish design, Judaic Mysticism honors the Covenant between God and Israel - revealing its secrets, symnols, and meanings left to us by the ancient past - openng the doors of perception within every modern heart.
