Great Selection-Useful Interpretation,
This review is from: Judaism: The Key Spiritual Writings of the Jewish Tradition (Paperback)
This book includes a thematic selection of Jewish texts from all of the important sources of Tradition, the bible, the Talmud, and the more recent scholars works. Hertzel provides excellent if brief interpretation. My one gripe is that each selection is not necessarily introduced, but just flows with the book.
