Neusner in this book discuss about Judaism and not about beginning of Christianity. He examine relations in Judaism between written Torah and oral Torah. There are valuable insights where we can see style of Jewish thinking and interpretation of the Holy Scriptures in the first centuries A.D.
I expected to read here more deeper survey because title of this book demands that, but for introduction it is sufficient. |
