"Hoffman is Christendom's foremost living scholar of rabbinic Judaism". Source: Mickey Henry, TribalTheocrat.com

Review

If someone other than a committed Christian had written this book, it would have been another Christian rant against Jews for their historic hatred of Christ, but Hoffman shows that he is not hateful, nor spiteful as he exposes the ingrained racism and exclusionist foundation set up by the Pharisees...Hoffman not only describes what the Talmud teaches, he documents every word of it from the work itself...Hoffman, to his great credit, does not suggest we get even, he seriously hopes that such Jews can open themselves to Christ and rejoin humanity. This work is a lesson in every way.

More About the Author

Michael Hoffman is a New York native and a former reporter for the Associated Press. He studied under Faiz Abu-Jaber and Richard Funk at the State University of New York at Oswego. Hoffman is the author of seven books of history. In addition, he has written the introductions to modern reprints of "The Traditions of the Jews" by Johann Andreas Eisenmenger, and "The Talmud Tested" by Alexander McCaul, D.D.

Hoffman is the executive editor of the bulletin, "Revisionist History," which is published six times a year. He is married and resides in north Idaho.

Hoffman writes:

The gatekeepers are determined to demonize this writer with stigmas such as "holocaust denier" and "anti-semite." These scurrilous libels are devices for intimidating potential readers, colleagues and supporters, and limiting the exchange of knowledge between a scholar and fellow truth-seekers. My authentic views are as follows: Judaic people suffered severe and unconscionable persecution during World War II, including mass murder at the hands of the Nazis. I deplore these crimes and the criminal Nazi ideology which inspired and directed them. At the same time, it is necessary to have the courage to point out the many parallels between Nazi ideology and the Israeli Zionist ideology which is engaged in the on-going dispossession and murder of Palestinians.

Concerning "anti-semitism": this phrase is supposed to denote racial loathing of Judaic persons, but is often employed to stigmatize those who dare to offer a narrative of Judaism which challenges the rabbinic narrative, or who dissent from the received opinion concerning Israeli actions in Palestine. Radical Judaic dissent from Talmudism and Zionism has largely been excluded from consideration. Consider that Norman Finkelstein and Noam Chomsky are routinely accused of being "anti-semitic." This pseudo-scientific phrase is employed in many cases merely in order to gain advantage over political rivals. My work is based on love and not hatred. My targets are ideologies and theologies, not people.

I will not be silenced. I have as much right to question and investigate Judaism, or any other "ism," as anyone has to question Catholicism. Knowledge is not advanced by submitting to special immunities for one particular media-favored creed. It is not anti-Italian to point out iniquity in Renaissance or modern Catholicism; nor is it anti-Judaic to discover turpitude in the rabbinic Talmudic theology. If contemporary Catholicism is a form of oppression, then it is a liberating act to free Italians from its grasp. If contemporary Orthodox Judaism is a form of oppression, then it is a liberating act to free Judaic persons from Talmudic supremacy and tyrannical micro-management of their daily lives.

My work transcends tribal atavisms and resentments. For example, in "Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare" I sought to deconstruct the command ideology of the Cryptocracy, while exploring an epistemology capable of inspiring higher consciousness by decoding the esoteric manipulation of thought patterns and the 'group mind' which impede our ability to transcend humanity's perpetual squabbles and simian warfare.

In the book "They Were White and They Were Slaves" I studied anew the circumstances surrounding so-called 'white indentured servitude' and discovered the prevalence of a far more onerous chattel enslavement of seventeenth century whites in America, and the dehumanized status of poor whites over the next two centuries.

In my latest work, "Usury in Christendom: The Mortal Sin that Was and Now is Not," I argue that during the Renaissance, gentile usurers gained firm purchase inside the Roman Church by scapegoating rival Judaic usurers. I also demonstrate that early Puritans, far from being the stereotypical skinflints and shylocks of legend, denounced and opposed usury, even as Renaissance Catholic popes and prelates were granting permission for it and benefiting from its proceeds.

My non-conforming research and writing do not fit simplistic Left/Right political or denominational categories, and because I violate taboos enforced by hysterical partisans, my name and reputation have been unfairly blackened. Truth-seekers with the curiosity and good will to look beyond the libelous opprobrium put forth by self-appointed thought police, will encounter in my writing, challenges to the consensus across a broad spectrum of revisionist history, Christian exegesis and Fortean epistemology.

If you can imagine what an Eastern Pacific Island occupied by Japanese troops looked like after weeks of American naval and aerial bombardment during WW2 - you have an idea of what Hoffman has intellectually and justifiably done to Talmudic and Judaic `learning' and the intellectual (I use that term loosely) underpinning of a system that cannot be anything other than derived from evil. Hoffman does not cite as a reference source anything other than the texts of rabbis and the sages which, as Hoffman puts it so perfectly - derived and have molted over the past 1700 years into the petrified Pharisee who, with a straight face, tells the world that Talmudic Judaics are charitable, Libertarian minded folks interested in freedom and equality and are in harmony with freedom of speech, worship, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. Were Hoffman to put the Talmudic Orthodox rabbi `on trial' for being a fraud and a liar in the strictest sense of the terms - he would need not call any witness other than the great sages of the past 1700 years to obtain a conviction. The only witness you need to indict and convict the Rabbi, are the books by which he runs his oppressive and oftentimes criminal enterprise.

Hoffman's third work is geared more to the religious reader and contains a statement at the outset to the Judaic reader that the exposition of what Talmudic texts actually contain (as done in this book) is for their benefit and he laments that insufficient attention has been paid historically to the rank and file Judaic living under a rabbinic yoke. The first material in the book sees Hoffman quoting page after page of Rabbinical rulings and writings that denigrate rank and file Judaics, (i.e.

Michael Hoffman goes where few dare to go. He lists a compendium of areas and concerns about Judaism, which many never even ventured into. He shows clearly and methodically, that Talmudic Judaism is not a religion of peace, but rather a religion of anti-Goyyim hatred and just plain malevolence towards the rest of mankind, who are not the "chosen people."

The Judaism of today is not based on the Old Testament, but the Babylonian Talmud. Through the Talmud, we learn that Jews have no love for others, but themselves. That Judaism is based on the notion of "Jewish racial supremacy." The Jewish idea of racial superiority is at odds with all that is humane in the world. For instance, contrary to what many Black Americans have thought, the Talmud incites and justifies hatred towards blacks. Moses Mamonides believed that blacks for lesser then human beings. And there is so much more to related about the blind hatreds and deviances found in the Talmudic literature.

As our bought and paid for talking media heads--Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and others--keep trying to convince about the "perils" and "evils" of Islamic extremism and fundamentalism, we learn through Hoffman, that the real religion of intolerance and wild fanaticism is not Islam, but rather Judaism. Go and do your mind a favor, and buy a copy of Michael Hoffman's, "Judaism's Strange Gods."

I have used this book referance. it is well researched and well written. There are hundreds of footnotes, these are at the bottom of each page, which makes checking them far easier than having to turn to the back of the book, which is to often the case.

The information presented is accurate and the quotes from the Talmud are also accurate.

My only cmplaint is that there is a couple of instances where information is given and no referance is given as to its source.

I have a pretty good understanding of the teachings of Judaism and the Talmud and I believe that this book is a very fair look at something that most people have little or no understanding of.

If you are looking for a book that will give you accurate information but is still fairly easy to read, this is it.

Growing up Jewish and attending orthodox day school and high school, I was always exposed to racist, bigoted, elitist and nasty attitude of the orthodox rabbis in the Talmud. But as a kid it's a bit disorienting, and after reading this, it all came rushing back. Please remember that not all Jews hold this sick and twisted ideology. Many of us love and respect our fellow humans as brothers and sisters, not as sub-humans as the Talmud paints all "goyim," or non-Jews.

When I was very young, I knew a Christian girl who thought that God would bless her by marrying a Jew. I knew at the time there was SOMETHING wrong with her thinking and I now wish I could track her down and make her read this book.
Given the degree that the "Judaic" mentality has permeated the United States to the point of corrupting everything from our government to our young people via the vile excuses for "entertainment" to which they are ceaselessly subjected, Hoffman provides a much needed insight into what this belief system (I hesitate to call it "faith") really is. If you read this book you will learn that:
- Orthodox Judaism , contrary to the belief of fundamentalists "Christians", has little or no connection with the Bible, Old Testament or new. The Old Testament (Torah) is only understood through the interpretations of the Rabbis and their Talmud which consists of their non-Biblical opinions and legal constructs.
-Orthodox Judaism, depending on which Rabbi you listen too either believes that "Gentiles" have inferior Souls or no Souls whatsoever. In other words, they believe they are a superior race, at least as far as the males are concerned.
-Some Orthodox Rabbis insist that their Words actually take precedence over God's Will. (Ever wonder what the ultimate blasphemy might be ?)
-Orthodox Judaism is deceptive to the Gentile world, making it believe that their beliefs are debated freely and openly and may even pretend to be democratic when in reality any debates occur within a very narrowly defined framework and heretics are always being hunted.
