Priest at their best!,

This review is from: Judas Priest - Live Vengeance '82 (DVD)
This DVD captures Judas Priest at their best. My brother and I caught them live in Toronto Canada for their 1984 tour (still have the original concert stubs!)
A must have for any Judas Priest fan. Just ordered Electric Eye DVD from Amazon.com. My brother bought it brand new and called me to tell me it is awesome!

Another glorious chapter in the career of Judas Priest is covered here, and what a concert it is! Originally released as a home video, this concert was recorded in Memphis on December of 1982 during Priest's Screaming for Vengeance world tour. Watching such a spectacle makes younger people like the writer that we had been born earlier to be able to have experienced the `80s Metal revolution. Priest plays the usual song list here, but you'll also find songs that you don't normally see played live like "Bloodstone", "Sinner", "Desert Plains", "Diamonds and Rust"(played in full, not the weaker acoustic version), and "Devil's Child". This is simply a great classic concert, which showcases Priest at their peak. Now if only there was an Unleashed in the East concert somewhere out there....

Their best video offering ever.,

You simply won't get a better performance by Priest recorded on video.
This is the real deal, Priest at their best. The guitar attack of Tipton and Downing is amazing, the sound is great, Halford is also singing like never and the set list is very good. The only downside is, of course, Dave Holland's drumming. Funny thing, that guy played greatly in Trapeze, but in Judas Priest his drumming was dumbed down to a laughable point. (probably, following orders from the produceer, Halford, Tipton, etc). You can't get wrong with this one.
