5.0 out of 5 stars High Energy Heavy Metal!
This is really a great vid and quite a flashback for the long-time Priest fans. The concert includes tunes all the way back to the British Steel and Point of Entry records. The set list includes:

Out in the Cold, Locked In, Heading Out to the Highway, Breaking the Law, Love Bites, Some Heads are Gonna Roll, Sentinel, Private Property, Desert Plains, Rock You All...

3.0 out of 5 stars could have been better
When it comes to concert videos, I'm very picky. I like the ones that show everything as it actually happens. That's not the case with Judas Priest Live. Too much jumping around the show, playing one song, but showing scenes from a different song. It's filmed kind of like Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound Of Thunder video. Too many slow-motion shots. I think concert videos...

Too much jumping around the show, playing one song, but showing scenes from a different song. It's filmed kind of like Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound Of Thunder video. Too many slow-motion shots. I think concert videos should seem more real. For example: Judas Priest Live In Memphis 1983. If Judas Priest Live was filmed that way, it would be perfect. I'd give it 7 or 8 stars. By the way, does anyone know if they'll ever release a live video for the Irvine Meadows concert from the Painkiller tour? They obviously filmed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best live concert video ever, October 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Judas Priest...live! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The accompanying album for this one is pretty good, but the VHS version blows it away, not only because you get the visuals but also because you get four songs not included on the original ("Locked In", "Green Manalishi", "Hell Bent For Leather", and "Desert Plains"). This is truly a Priest Greatest Hits Live video for fans of the late 70's/early-to-mid 80's stuff. And the stage show/costuming are spectacular, truly definitive over-the-top cheesy 80's metal excess...don't get any better than this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it!, February 2, 1999
By A Customer

Priest Fans, don't bother. It's on the TURBO tour. Nothing new and bad hair. It's the cheesiest Priest footage ever made. Glenn Tipton looks like he's trying to be in Poison. Don't say I didn't warn you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dark days, January 11, 2001

Being Judas so good and so great, it's almos impossible to give less than three stars. But this video deserved so, because it's the horrible "TURBO" tour, the band is dressed like Poison or Dokken or Ratt, the performance is precise but cold, impersonal. The video for the "SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE" tour is much better.

This is an awesome video from the Metal Gods,JUDAS PRIEST!These guys were one of the best metal bands ever. They had a lot of energy, great stage effects,AWESOME guitar solos,AWESOME vocals and classic metal anthems such as "Livin' After Midnight","Breaking The Law",and of course,"You've Got Another Thing Comin".Those are all here. Here is a track by track review:
Out In The Cold-2/5-I don't really care for this one much.Rob looks bored and it has a boring solo, not something you would expect from Glenn and K.K.
Locked In-4/5-A cool song from the Turbo album. This song is not on the CD version of this concert.
Heading Out To The Highway-5/5-This song REALLY kicks the concert into high gear.Awesome solos, and GREAT audience participation.
Breaking The Law-5/5-Awesome song!If you don't like this song,you don't know Judas Priest.Awesome riff.
Love Bites-4/5-Cool song from the Defenders Of The Faith album.Nothing else I can really say.
Some Heads Are Gonna Roll-5/5-Another Defenders classic with a great riff.
The Sentinal-5/5-Another Defenders song.Cool lyrics and great solos.
Private Property-5/5-Finally,a song not from Defenders!Cool chorus.Good audience participation.
Desert Plains-5/5-My favorite Point Of Entry song played in great form. This song is not on the CD version of this show.
Rock You All Around The World-5/5-A cool song from the Turbo album.Sounds kind of like a Scorpions song.
Electric Eye-5/5-You can not go to a Priest concert without hearing this one.Awesome solo by Glenn, and I like the part where the robot lifts Rob.
Turbo Lover-5/5-How can you forget this one?Cool chorus, and some cool pyro in this one.
Freewheel Burning-5/5-My favorite Defenders song.It thrashes like mad and has great solos and GREAT drumming by the normally lame Dave Holland.
Green Manalishi-5/5-A Fleetwood Mac cover.Cool lyrics and and a cool riff. This song is not on the CD version of this show.
Parental Guidance-5/5-My favorite Turbo song.GREAT audience participation.
Livin'After Midnight-5/5-My favorite British Steel song.If you don't know this one,you don't know Priest.Nothing else I can say.
You've Got Another Thing Comin'-5/5-My favorite Priest song, and the best song here.Cool lyrics, and GREAT audience participation.
Hell Bent For Leather-4/5-Awesome song. You can't go to a Priest
concert without hearing this one.Features Rob's trademark of riding a motorcycle. The only reason I gave this song 4 is because instead of showing the whole song, they show clips of previous parts of the show.

5.0 out of 5 stars For those of us who were there, it's a trip down memory lane, December 14, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Judas Priest...live! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tour was the ONLY time Priest was close enough to my hometown for me to go see them. Yes it was the 80's and big hair was "in" along with the spandex and what not, but the sound was true to the core. The show was loud but clear, pyrotechnics undefinable, and an all around adrenaline rush. It's a great way to revisit those days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Metal, Leather, Love and Destruction, June 1, 2000
By
This review is from: Judas Priest...live! [VHS] (VHS Tape)
After many years of rockin' with the priest at their concerts, and playing air guitar up on row 22, nothing compares to the adrenaline that this video puts out. You can't compare the video to the actual concert, but it sure does come close. To those head bangin', heavy metal rockers out there, this concert will really have your fists pumpin' up in the air after about 2 minutes of play. The priest has died in the eyes of recording studios, but it will never die in the hearts of those Heavy - Metal Gods!
