This review is from: Judge Dredd (Video Game)
Judge Dredd is the Genesis game that is based on the movie of the same name. Well, I do happen to rhyme once in a blue moon... but back to the subject. This game is a mixed blessing for several reasons:

Controls - not tight enough, considering the variety of positions the game provides for. Sometimes it might be awkward to stand up or lie prone on the ground. The shooting system is adequate, considering you won't miss because of its faults too often. Could be better, but acceptable the way they are.

Sound and Graphics - easily the best part of the game. The levels are large and twisty, although all have but one exit, you have a huge variety of options of achieving that end. Also, there are VERY MANY LEVELS, unlike other games. This is probably one of the handful of games that give you that dark future feel so perfectly you can love it just for that. The design of the levels and the enemies hark from the old days of Power Blade ( a classic, although not for this system, as far as I know). Literally, I can find no words. All the weapons and the items are original ( although some are less that too useful).

Overall, Judge Dredd is a solid, complex, and, mostly hard game that deserves recognition from the fans of the genre, or just those who own the system.

3.0 out of 5 stars Half based on the film and half not, July 3, 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Judge Dredd (Video Game)
Judge Dredd is half based on the Stallone movie & after you defeat Rico you have to go after The Dark Judges. So your story is that The Dark Judges are trying to jump through dimensions which could have serious implications on the Earth meanwhile your genetic twin Rico has framed you for murder just like the movie you then have to go & clear your name you think your going to play a game loosely based off the movie but after you kill Rico it goes into it's own stortline with the Dark Judges which is kind of brilliant. I haven't counted all the levels but there is a lot of them and the level on the Statue of Liberty where you fight the ABC robots our good friends at AKKLAIM said ok the player dies here & The Lawmaster level wasn't fun at all and I just figured out how to shoot forward after 12 years lol. The Dredd/Rico fight could've been better but it was decent. Judge Dredd has decent controlls & some ok music but I get very board in the middle of the game it seems to go on forever. Don't take my word though
