This review is from: Judgment Day! Islam, Israel and the Nations (Hardcover)
Seldom have I encountered a book that is so well written and which subjects Biblical prophecy and how it relates to currents to such a thorough investigation.
An abundance of distinctive issues are examined in the aforementioned context including Islam, Israel, Jerusalem and the highly volatile situation in the Middle East, together with the ongoing political quest for "peace" by the world's leaders. From a Christian perspective the book dissects both the Jewish and Palestinian/Arab claim to the territory often referred to as the Holy Land. At the outset the study declares that only the Bible "..foretells centuries and even thousands of years in advance major events of world history.." and that the numerous relevant prophecies identify the one true God and the Bible as "..His unique revelation to mankind.." In the context of investigating how Biblical prophecy relates to present day events, the book expounds that Israel is the major topic of Bible prophecy. The study elaborates that the name Israel is mentioned 2,565 times in 2,293 verses while Jerusalem is also found 811 times in 764 verses within the King James translation of the Holy Bible. By way of comparison the book emphasises that Jerusalem is not found even once in the Islamic Koran. Demonstrating through a plethora of examples, the book proceeds to reveal how prophecies concerning Israel and Jerusalem are precise and beyond misinterpretation, with some of them even warning of God's judgment upon those who would attempt to bring a false, man-made "peace" to the Middle East which defies what God has decreed for His own people within the Hebrew Christian Scriptures. Such man-made attempts to arrive at a "peace" outside the God of the Bible are examined in some detail, including the so called "Road Map to peace" which is presently being pursued by the nations. Another timely and relevant issue investigated is the Islamic mindset and it's alleged agenda within the Middle East, most specifically as it relates to Israel and Jerusalem etc.. The book proceeds to summarise the conflict between Islam and Israel by describing how the God of the Bible has purportedly promised to "protect" Israel, while Allah of the Koran/Islam has sworn to "destroy" her. Jerusalem is shown to be depicted in the Bible as a burdensome stone to the world and that all the nations are destined to be gathered against her in events which culminate in the return of the Jewish/Christian Messiah. Due reference is provided to support these statements. A central factor radiating through this study is what is cited as the fundamental Biblical truth that, although the Bible contains hundreds of prophecies outlining how God would severely punish Israel for her sins, He would preserve a remnant and bring the scattered Jews back into their own land in the latter days. Innumerable contextual Scriptural references being provided to reinforce this. Another pivotal emphasis in the text is that Israel has been the only united, sovereign, nation-state that has ever existed in the geographical entity that has been sometimes called "Palestine". The Hebrew Christian God is cited herein as being called the "God of Israel" on 203 occasions in the Holy Bible. The reader is also confronted with how the Koran contradicts the Holy Bible on this and virtually every major point, including denying the deity of Jesus Christ, His death upon the cross for our sins and also His resurrection. These points are illustrated while addressing how the God of the Bible and that of the Koran are cited as definitely not being the same Person, despite what some prominent political figures have declared. The book also demonstrating how some professing Christians are allegedly prepared to trample on truth in their eagerness to purportedly placate Muslims. Mention is also made as to how the United Nations has spent one third of it's time either deliberating or denouncing Israel and it's relationship to Jerusalem, with more than six thousand individual votes having been cast in the UN against the Jewish state. Reference is made to statements emanating from many elements within the Arab/Islamic world which reveal that the struggle with what is called the "Zionist enemy", is allegedly not about Israel's borders, but about the very existence of Israel itself. These and many parallel issues are shown from the text to be ignored by international leaders as they seek to establish a man-made "peace" in the Middle East. Sections of the book explore an abundance of issues such as the history of the Jewish people and the secular/political/military history of the Middle East and the Holy Land itself. Other important, pivotal subjects investigated are the origins of the Arabs who call themselves "Palestinians", the "Palestinian" refugee situation and the history of Islam. The implications of all these issues in relation to current & future events make for a fascinated and gripping read. (Page 78; One notable reference provided here is that the UN definition of anyone qualifying as a "Palestinian" is any Arab who lived in what was "Palestine" for two years prior to the rebirth of Israel in 1948). The research employed in presenting this study can only be described as impeccable. The individual reader may not agree with the author in relation to all the issues discussed, but the message of this easily readable book desperately needs to be heard. I would heartily recommend two other books pertaining to the issues covered here;- "Jerusalem Countdown" by John Hagee. "Why I Left Jihad; The Root of Terrorism and the Return of Radical Islam" by Walid Shoebat.

An "as-you-live" thriller,

This review is from: Judgment Day! Islam, Israel and the Nations (Hardcover)
Have you been confused about the endless turmoil in the Middle-East? Are you unaware of Islam and wonder what the Koran says? Are you clueless about Biblical prophecy regarding the "end of the age" and what lies just ahead? Are you baffled as to why young Muslins are murdering innocent people by voluntarily blowing themselves up? Are you unprepared for who and what is coming? In a rather easy-to-read but factually documented presentation, Dave Hunt clears the fog. Hold on - when the fog lifts, you may be shocked by what you see. Better to see it now.
Note - this is not just a "bad news", scare your pants off, kind of tirade. This book will also tell you the "good news".

This review is from: Judgment Day! Islam, Israel and the Nations (Hardcover)
The world is marching toward something very big. Europe is rebuilding to look like the Old Roman Empire of Christ's time. The Middle East, and specifically Israel, is on every newscaster's tongue. The nations are perplexed and frustrated over a "postage stamp" sized country that stands with a defiant fist held in the faces of 22 Muslim nations. Natural disasters are becomming more destructive of human life and property, and with increased frequency. Where are we marching? If you have no knowledge of what the Bible says about this very time in which we are living, then it's high time you learn. Dave Hunt's book will give you both the historic and Biblical explanation. More important, it will tell you in easy-to-understand words what you must do to prepare yourself to meet your Maker. The Lord Jesus Christ gave Himself on the cross in your place. He only asks that you turn from everything else that you have trusted in to get you to heaven and acknowledge what He did for you. Come down off your own cross of self-righteousness. God does not give any value to the little things you do to earn His acceptance. He has decreed that there is only one way to heaven. Jesus has already paid your sin debt in full. But, if you choose to turn your back on Him and remain on your own cross, then you have no hope. A great book. Buy it! Read it! Heed its warnings!
