I design jewelry for a living, and I HATE working with 2 part resin. It's messy, stinky and half the time it doesn't set up right, ruining your work.

You will never have that problem with Gel du Soleil. It dries crystal clear, diamond hard and absolutely perfect every single time. The pinpoint applicator on the small bottle is a great feature, too. For shallow molds this is ideal, but I wouldn't recommend using this product for deep molds, unless you plan on building up lots of layers and taking your time between curings. It's perfect for putting a glass like protective coating over art papers and photos in collages, charms and ACOEs.

Sure, it's a lot more expensive than the traditional 2 part resins, but consider how much it will save you in time, materials, cleanup (and swearing)! It's worth every penny and I won't use anything else.

Do make sure that you have a bright sunny window and low humidity in your work space, or else you'll want to invest in a curing light. The less time it spends curing, the less time it has to possibly have bits of dust settle on the surface.

This is a fabulous product. It cures quickly, even quicker with a UV lamp.
The only down side to this product is that it has a strong odour, so you definately need to use this product in a well ventilated room or outside.

This product I found to be useful if layering items ...whereas you need to have each layer cure in a matter of minutes. I found that it does not produce the high gloss smooth shiny like that Ice Resin product does. once you place it under the UV lamp to be cured it does it rather quickly however it's just not as clear and as smooth. also the shelf life on this product is way too short for my purposes I use the resin technique every once in awhile and it just doesn't stay good for the length of time that I need for it too so for me it's best to use the ice resin product as opposed to this one. if you're doing a lot of short quick jobs with this resin then it may work for you...the shelf life is just way too short for the amount of money you have to pay for the spot in my opinion

Cures nicely. I love that it does not yellow. I am a professional jewelry maker, and I really needed something easy and high quality. This works very well for me. The price is quite high, but it's cheaper per ounce to buy this larger size. It smells a little, but nothing terrible.

It arrived half full as it had leaked all over the box. What a mess! However, when I called to complain, they did send me another. As far as quality, the epoxy left little bubbles on my jewelry, no matter what I did to get them to dissolve. Would not order again.
