2.0 out of 5 stars Thumbs Down, November 19, 2001

Rather than focusing on silk ribbon embroidery or crazy quilting, this book's focus is on the author's life. It should be classified as an autobiography rather than a needlework book. There are some very nice pictures of her handiwork throughout the book, but not enough to warrant purchasing the book.

I think this is a great book for stitchers. Judith Baker Montano describes her creative process (not an easy thing to do), and in doing so gives the reader plenty of ideas for expanding their own creativity. Her life is not separate from her work, and she shows us how to use our life experiences to enhance our own work. I loved this book.
