When Barney the family cat dies, the young boy who loved him is broken-hearted. To help console her son, the boy's mother plans a backyard funeral and suggests he think of ten good things to say about Barney. The boy can only think of nine - until his father explains that in the ground everything changes, including Barney. Learning that his cat will now help the plants grow, the youngster decides that's "a pretty nice job for a cat" and the tenth good thing about Barney.
