This is a great book about the history of judo in the USA. The photos and artifacts are outstanding and give the reader a good impression of how judo has changed over the centuries.
For me as judoka from Germany, training now in the US, the book helped me to understand the developments and relationships between the different American judo organizations. I hope that this book is an inspiration for other judo organizations in the world (for example the Deutsche (German) Judo Bund) to write down their own judo history before it has been forgotten

This is a very nice history of judo in the US, with lots of interesting pictures of early literature, photos, and the like. One thing that I really liked about the book is that it explains the history and politics of the various judo organizations in the US, which had always been a mystery to me.

Great book for the dedicated Judoka. Since I have been involved since 1965 reading it brought back many memories.
