Young and old readers in my family connect with Judy Blume's characters, as exhibited in the reactions when my yougest grandchild opened this gift. The books are witty; the characters, mischevious. They're the young reader's siblings,friends,and classmates. The books use the vocabulary that encourage young readers to read on their own or with minimum help. Judy Blume is fun for the adult reader as well.
