Funny and enjoyable,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Hardcover)
This story was enjoyable because I enjoyed the character, Judy Moody, created by Megan McDonald. Judy Moody is a moody, cranky, bossy character with a funny little brother and funny friends. She is a little like me.
In this story, she wants to predict the future but makes many silly mistakes. But the story has a happy ending that surprised me. Now I want to read other Judy Moody stories.

This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Hardcover)
Judy Moody Predicts the Future is a interesting book because she predicts everything correct but 1 prediction turns out to be incorrect. Is she really psychic or not? This book is interesting because Judy's correct most of the time when she predicts the future, but one time she didn't predict it correctly. Do you think she can predict the future? Her prediction was about 100 percent or more on her spelling test. She went to the library and read a book about a boy who put a dictionary under his pillow and knew every word in the dictionary. So Judy did the same but it didn't turn out the way it's suppose to. If I was Judy I wouldn't do that because that might be fake. I think it would be superstitious because that happened only once in a lifetime. I don't think it's fair that the person who wrote the book is trying to make kids believe it and it won't come true. My favorite parts of the book are when Judy gets everybody's hopes up that she's psychic. I think Judy wants attention because she probably wants to be popular. The part I dislike is when Judy predict the future and it was wrong. I would recommend this book for people who have lots of moods, for example from bored to happy and from mean to nice.

What a book!,

This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Paperback)
I like reading Judy Moody books because I like how Judy Moody acts and how she sometimes can be funny. The problem is that Judy Moody has a mood for every occasion. Judy thinks she has special powers of predicting people's moods. My opinion about this book is that Judy Is kind of funny and I like how she acts with her brother. She likes to call his brother skinky. She is also funny. When I first read this book I didn't like it but when I kept reading it I like it a lot and I can't wait to read her other books. I think you should read this book because it is a fantasy book and I like reading books that are fantasy because I like what they do and how they act. If you like reading fantasy book I reccomend you to read this book.

Great Children's series/chapter books,
By
This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Paperback)
I bought this book for my 8 year old daughter. She loves this series and it has really helped move her from little kid books to chapter books. She was intimidated to read chapter books and very reluctant to move from younger books to "bigger books" but these made the transition very smooth for her. She loves the story lines and Judy Moody isn't as bratty as Junie B. Jones. She now has the whole set and re-reads these constantly. The boy version of these is Judy's brother Stink's series and she loves to read those too. I highly recommend these books from around 5 if you're reading them to the child up to about 8 or 9.

While at the bookstore, two girls ages 9 and 7 were talking to me about books. As a retired teacher, I still love to look at children's books. These young ladies said they LOVE this writer's books. What better recommendation does one need?

The Magic 8 ball,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Paperback)
This book has big writing and is easy to read. I liked this book because it is funny and interesting. Judy is always fighting with her little brother "Stink". I would not like to be like Judy because she is too moody and annoys people. My Dad says I am moody sometimes. I hope I am not as moody as Judy but it is good fun to read about her.

You'll love it!!!!!!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Hardcover)
Judy has a mood ring that tells you which mood you are in. She ate several cereals to just find this mood ring. When she finds the mood ring, she fits it on her finger and counts up to ten when she opens her eyes she saw that the ring turned black and she was furious (because black was the worst colour.)This is a very funny book and I will give this book ten out of ten!!!

My daughter just loves these Judy Moody series. She has been rereading them over and over again. She loves the illustrations and their details. Also, these books illustrations are good in kindle, too. You can even enlarge smaller illustrations in Kindle.I would recommend these to any young readers (age 7-12) who are looking for new, interesting, and fun series to read.

A fun story full of humor!,
This review is from: Judy Moody Predicts the Future (Book #4) (Hardcover)
My six-year-old daughter loves to read and after the Junie B. Jones series (she loved it, I was not a fan), she picked up the Ivy and Bean series ( much better!) and now she is devouring the Judy Moody books. This series will appeal to young children ages 6-9 as the stories center around a precocious young girl Judy Moody and her escapades. Judy has a younger brother Stink who annoys her (btw, Stink has his own line of books too), and of course her friends at school, and members of the Toad Pee Club. Judy has a vivid imagination which is what drew my soon-to-be first grader to this series, and the stories have lots of humor in them, which make for a fun and engaging reading experience. The black-and-white line illustrations that appear occasionally are also a fun way to motivate young readers and keep their interest.
In Judy Moody Predicts the Future, Judy finds a mood ring in her cereal box and believes the ring has bestowed the powers of prediction upon her. She is so enamored with the ring and it's so-called powers, she begins to make a series of outrageous predictions, including the prediction that she will win a coveted sticker on a spelling test. Has Judy Moody truly become a psychic, and will Madame M's predictions come true? My daughter was so entertained by this story that she begged me to get her a mood ring, which I did. Of course, we first determined that no mood ring is going to make one a fortune-teller, no matter how many times said ring changes color! |
