Watson has written the text and Chap man has provided hundreds of photos for this biography of Judy Garland. Be cause the book is relatively short, it of course does not approach the detailed examination of Garland found in Ger old Frank's Judy (1975) or Anne Ed wards's Judy Garland (1975). Never theless, Watson manages to cover most of the high and low points in Garland's life. Many of the photographs from Chapman's collection are rare, but their content is pretty standard. I read this book because John Fricke mentioned it in his Judy Garland book "World's Greatest Entertainer." He said it was a good book to read with great rare pictures and he was absolutly right. Although this book is more condence and it tells Judy Garland's story in 115 pages it is still a great summary of her life, sadness, happyness, laugther, many many many triumphs and accomplishments and so on. It does include many great rare picture and also a few of them in color where she just looks gorgeous. If you want to know more about this amazing legend this a good book to start.
