We were both introduced to Internet dating by different friends who had found wonderful partners using on-line personals. We were both reluctant and skeptical at first about participating in the activity. What kind of people would do this? What kind of person am I if I do this? Does this signify that I a total desperate loser?
The answer is that all kinds of people are doing it and the only losers are those unwilling to make any effort to find love, preferring only to complain about thow lonely they are. If you have access to a computer, dating on the Internet is the most affordable, easy way to start meeting more people.
But what about weird people? Do you tell everyone your name? What do you write to someone you find attractive? How do you know if it is really their picture? We struggled with all of these questions as we went out on our dates. We used some common sense, a lot of caution and each other to navigate the Internet scene.

About the Author
Judy Friend is a professional film producer and Janet Landon is a public school teacher in the Los Angeles area. Both are professional single mothers who had little time for the dating single scene. Their dating experiences revealed the need for some structured guide for dating in this new medium. Unlike The Rules, this easy self-help book, allows for a lot of personal preference, but humorously reminds the reader of common sense, guidelines for dating strangers.

This is a fun gift to give to your friends who are single. It is especially great for people who are busy with their careers and want to also have a social life. One of my friends had a lot of success with it so I think that is why I gave it 5 stars.

Ridiculous rip off!,

I got this in the mail and it's essentially a pamplet with 40 pages of content. I don't care if the advice is good, this is a rip off and I returned it without reading for a $10 refund.
