Juicing for a healthier you!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Elite Pro JM211 Juice Extractor (Kitchen)
I was very skeptical about juicing and received this as a gift. I found that this juicer very easy to use and clean. You can even wash the accessories in the dishwasher. My energy level has increased dramatically after using my juicer and I don't know how I ever got along without it! I definitely recommend this juicer to a beginner who would like to try out adding juices to their diet.

Better than Vitamin Pills,

I bought this juicer because I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome; I also do not eat a healthy diet (lots of coffee and fast foods). This juicer is reasonably priced and very easy to use. It is also easy to clean as long as you use a vegetable brush to brush the strainer clean. The best part, however, is that this is such an easy way to get nutrients into your system. Better than trying to take lots of supplements several times a day, and much easier than trying to "cook healthy" (I hate to cook). Juice is the ultimate fast food. Since getting this machine I have had more energy and have felt more optimistic. My body is also starting to "crave" a glass of fresh juice rather than coffee and a candy bar. The recipes that are included get you off to a good start in making juice drinks that are very tasty. All in all, a good deal for the price - 5 out of 5 - highly recommended.

A nice juicer,

I actually have two juicers because they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are thinking about the Juiceman Jr you can't go wrong, as long as you are not a fanatical juice-making person. Even the box says it is for occasional use - not for high volume. The machine fits together nicely and doesn't splash stuff at all. My only complaint is that it is almost all plastic - so it does feel a little chintzy or not so sturdy. I have no complaints with it and it does a fine job. My instruction book says all the parts except the base ARE dishwasher safe, top-rack only. Although the book really encourages you to clean it by hand. The clean-up seems about the same as my other juice extractor by another manufacturer. So if you're looking for a small-volume juicer and don't mind a lot of plastic, this is a nice machine at a fair price.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I am extremely glad I bought this juicer. The technology has come a LONG way from the juicing clunkers that first emerged in the 1980s. This one is simple to operate and, considering its function, easy to clean (you need a brush for the juicing basket). I use it every day now. My wife and I will soon turn orange from all the carrot juice we're ingesting.Buy It, and Enjoy !

A good buy for somebody willing to put forth the effort,

I bought my juicer a year ago and it has held up well. The 1/4 horsepower motor is adaquate enough to make juice out of any fruit of vegetable. The only complaint I have have is that it expells some of the juice with the pulp and it gets wasted. It just means that you'll have to juice larger quantities of fruits and vegatables which, I suppose, is no big deal. It requires some work to pull the produce out of the refridgerator, wash it, and cut it into smaller pieces. Cleanup is not that difficult. The health benefits are definitely there for anyone willing to put forth the effort. I noticed right away the I felt better and had more energy. Fresh juice tastes great! I recommend this product.

Not built to last...,

If Amazon[.com] had a zero star rating, that's what I would give this product. I have had my machine for about three months and enjoyed it while it worked. I have meticulously maintained and cleaned it after each use. I recently detected a burning odor from the machine and it got really loud. I realized what was going on when I closely examined the parts. The blade basket is really cheap (gotta cut cost somewhere). The teeth on the blade that are used to grind and liquify eventually start to bend upward and actually start eating into the plastic food chute. Perhaps I just have a defective blade, but I doubt it since it worked fine when I got it. In any event, unbeknownst to me, I probably ingested small particles of plastic with my yummy fruit drink. Needless to say, I am extremely unhappy with this product. Perhaps they just want you to buy a new basket every three months. My advice, save your money and get one of the heavy duty machines, or you can find mine on ebay!...;-)

I like my Juiceman,
By A Customer
This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Elite Pro JM211 Juice Extractor (Kitchen)
I really enjoy my juices, watermelon, cantelope (rinds included) broccoli, cauliflower etc. My only gripe is the clean-up. It makes a mess and the blade isn't the easiest to clean. I have to use a brush to get it really clean.

Good way to start a healthy lifestyle,

This product is easy to assemble and easy to use. It provides you with the nutrients fruits and vegetables have to offer in one easy glass of juice. My only complaints are the clean up and the fact that you have to cut the fruits and vegetables in small pieces (small enough to hopefully fit into the juicer opening). Clean up is tedious. You really have to try and get all the pulp out of the parts while you disassemble it because if you're not careful, the pulp can clog up your kitchen sink. Other than that, it's a great product.

shake, rattle & roll,
By A Customer
This review is from: Juiceman Jr. Elite Pro JM211 Juice Extractor (Kitchen)
Be aware that this juicer will really shake (will rise off counter) when juicing more dense veges like carrots, beets etc. It's a bit scary if you are not prepared for that. Yes, it is easy to use, easy to clean but after having this for a year (gift) I am going to move up to a move heavy duty (non shaking) juicer. Buy a juice combination book to get started. Fresh juice IS wonderful - even vegetable juice!

works great - if you like plastic in your juice...,

well...
after three _days_ of once-a-day use with immediate full cleaning, the blades bent upwards enough to start grating the plastic chute into my juice. :-( luckily the loud grinding noise and the burning plastic smell made it easy to realize what was going on, and quickly turn the machine off. someone else mentioned having the same issue and thought perhaps their basket was defective. well, it's possible that both of ours were, but i would say it would definately be something to look out for. check the bottom of your chute after juicing to see if there is plastic being shaved off. if the chute was even 1/8-inch shorter, this problem would never happen as the blades aren't that tall - even if fully bent upwards (not that mine are, but they are really small blades). prior to the plastic juice, the machine worked great. carrots, celery, spinach, lemons, grapefruit, grapes, even soft mangos... they all were juiced really well with no splatter. so - 2 of 5. works great, while it works. now looking at other brands/models that don't have a chute so close to the blades. |
