"It's Time For Juicing"

</center>

The nutritional value of fruits and vegetables is extremely high. The artery-choking, heart-attack-inducing ingredients extremely low. So what is the problem?

Time! In our fast-paced world, who has the time for a balanced, healthy diet? You do. Now.

Why Juice?

Juicing is a mechanical process that greatly increases the natural health benefits stored in fruits and vegetables.

A few health benefits of juicing are:

  1. Lose excess weight without exercising. Cravings disappear when your body gets all the nutrients it needs.

  2. More energy is available from the dense nutrition in a liquid form flowing effortlessly through your system.

  3. Your immune system strengthens, for increased over-all health and the ability to deal with threats, like arthritis or clogged arteries.

  4. Existing medical problems will begin to improve as they are engulfed in healing micro-nutrients.

  5. Detoxification of your body systems occurs spontaneously: less toxins into your system from healthier foods and a stronger body to eliminate old deposits.

  6. Your body gradually awakens to process everything more effortlessly: from nutrients to neurons.

  7. With improvements at many levels, your brain will awaken to greater clarity.

  8. Healthy juicing recipes will help convert your temporary behavior into a new lifestyle.

Why Juicing Equipment?

There has always been 1 problem with plant-based diets. The darned plants want to hold onto their goodies. The best parts are locked away in tough, fibrous cell walls.

But now we have a special juice maker that extracts nutrients from hugely healthy sources and converts them into the easiest form to digest -- a liquid. You get maximum nutrition in a "pre-digested" form, further increasing the benefits of juicing..

Why This Juicing Book For Kindle?

Learn:

  • The multitude of juicingbenefits

  • Exactly how to juice

  • How to choose your own juice maker

  • Great 5 minute recipes for juicing

  • The easy, all-natural way to regain health

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, quick-read summary of the benefits of juicing August 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I know the power of juice diets, also known as juice feasting (as opposed to water fasting), as I even wrote a book with chapters on this topic. But I needed to get motivated, seriously focused, on doing an extended fast. I was most impressed by the photo of the author, who looks 20 years younger than his age--which prompted my reading and reviewing this book.

The author offers a 1-paragraph summary: "A juicing machine extracts the maximum nutrients from healthy fruits and vegetables. It delivers them in the easiest form to digest ‒ liquid. So you get MORE healthy NUTRITION in the healthiest possible FORM. It's no wonder that the health benefits claimed by users border on the unbelievable."

The book includes a "12 Big Picture Health Benefits of Fresh Juicing" with simple, quick-read point to get you to consider a 21-day commitment. One striking example is, "The strengthened immune system will seek and destroy any new threats it finds, perhaps a tumor will be stopped in its tracks." Another is obvious from the author's photo: "Even externally, the skin will begin to tighten and improve."

There are also three big reasons to juice. I have heard many real-life testimonials of reason 3, which is to prevent disease. I have also experienced the faster's high which he summarizes: "Juicing will get your body into a pleasant state. This is going to make you happy and better able to deal with work and relationships in a positive light, instead of instinctively pulling out the boxing gloves. Just knowing the glass is half-full is going to make your life something you bounce out of bed in the morning for, rather than hit the snooze button."

This book is a really great, quick-read summary of the benefits of juicing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you wanted to know about fruit juices July 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Years ago, I read a book by a nutritionist who espoused the value of raw produce and fresh fruit and vegetable juices for good health (a fairly new idea in the 1960s). It was an interesting idea, but I never really pursued it. In the early 1990s, my wife and I saw some TV infomercials by a fellow calling himself the Juiceman. We were interested enough to buy a juice extractor, which we used for a while, then it fell into disuse, and we sold it.

Recently, I've read three books on juicing and the health benefits that the authors claim for drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Juicing Joy by Oran Kangas is the latest one. The book focuses on fruit juices. The author states that fresh juices nourish your system with life-giving enzymes and whole, unprocessed nutrients. He lists twelve benefits of juicing, including increased energy, healing, stronger immune system, detoxification, and improved mood and sense of wellbeing.

The book explains why fresh juices consumed immediately have more nutrition than store-bought juices (it has to do with enzyme loss, pasteurization, and additives). It also makes a case for using organically grown produce whenever possible.

The book includes a buying guide that describes the different types of juicing machines and the positives and negatives of each type. It also covers the use and maintenance of each type, and suggests some useful accessories.

There are thirty sample juicing recipes, each one with detailed nutritional information, including calories. The recipes use combinations of fruits, berries, and melons, plus various spices and flavorings.

The book also includes other resources (books and websites) and a comprehensive glossary.

Oran Kangas's JUICING JOY: FRUITS, BERRIES, AND MELONS packs a powerful punch. First, Kangas is a crazy fun writer to read. What I mean by that is he has a funny, self-deprecating style that makes reading through page after page of information about the health benefits of juicing a really refreshing experience. This is a guy who truly believes in the benefits of juicing, and by the end of the book, so will you.

Kangas's book is divided into three sections, dealing with:
1) The Benefits of Juicing
2) How to Get Started
3) Recipes.

The Benefits section goes into great detail about the physical and psychological benefits of consuming large quantities of freshly juiced organic fruits and veggies. He explains how juicing works, why it improves your immune system, aids in digestion, and keeps your body in tip top working order. The Get Started section includes plenty of info on the various types of juicers on the market, along with Kangas's advice on which type of juicer you might want to purchase for your personal lifestyle and goals. He also provides info on various types of juicer-produced drinks, as well as which fruits work best. The Recipes section includes thirty juicer recipes, including preparation directions and full nutritional information.

The book also includes a Resources section (with a listing of books and websites readers can use for more information), as well as a very comprehensive Glossary.

Overall, the information in this book is comprehensive and very convincing. I have no experience in juicing myself, but Kangas's book has convinced me to give it a try (this is something my husband has been pushing for a few months now, so the book came at a very good time).

Born in Phoenix AZ, he was quickly whisked away to sunny California, where he has remained ever since.

He attended the University of California San Jose for more years than he cares to remember. "Eventually stumbling out into the real world armed only with 2 pieces of paper: a Master's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Physical Education.

"I soon learned that paper doth not a career make. Having no real skill other than classroom sitting, I made a brilliant career choice ... and returned to college. This time computers were the bright shiny object that held my attention ... for the next half century."

Even today Oran spends 12 hours a day, 7 days a week staring at the 1-eyed beast that patiently stares back. Computers still remain his primary communication tool.
