Just gorgeous, sexy and fun... Left me blushing all over..! Perfect night reading, whether alone or with someone to read along. I'll be picking it back up again when the weather gets cold, in lieu of a fireplace..!

Juicy Mangos casts its fragrant spell from Page 1: It made me laugh, made my nether regions tingle, and in the case of the librettos, "Juan and Adela" and "A Kiss from Lares," made me shed a tear or two. Tucked in between the steamy sex scenes (of which there are a plethora of hot-to-death ones of every permutation) are passages so tender, so beautifully written, so intelligently designed, it sometimes took my breath away--as did the magical realism of the final novella, "La Lunaria," with its phantasmal plot and lush imagery. The nature of erotica is, of course, pura fantasia--but beyond the prurient lies raw pathos and unabashed emotion--resulting in lusty love stories told from a thinking woman's point of view. Herrera-Mulligan expounds on her first anthology, Border-Line Personalities: A New Generation of Latinas Dish on Sex, Sass, and Cultural Shifting, by honing in on just one aspect of the Latina stereotype (the virgin/whore complex), and literally smashing it with a well-crafted, red-heeled stiletto. Bravissima, muchachas, bravissima!

Wow, finally a book that I as a latina can relate to. All the stories were well written and left you at the end of your seat. I especially loved the story of "A Kiss for Lares" by Elisha Miranda. I loved the book so much I bought another one and mailed it to my sister for her birthday this month. This is the first erotica book I've ever read, how about a Juicy Mangos II?

Set aside some time to read this book because once you start, it's hard to put down. The sexual scenes are at times raw, tender, shocking and intimate but always thought-provoking. Ultimately what sets this anthology apart from other erotica are the authors. Each author has such a distinct style and voice that leave you wanting Juicy Mangos II!

Finally - a book comes out that treats Latinas as sexual creatures, but not as sexual objects. I happened to get an early review copy of this book and I was pleasantly surprised by its contents. This book is just as smart as it is sexy and will entertain anyone with a libido and a vivid imagination. I highly recommend it to everybody.

JUICY MANGOS is an eclectic mix of short erotic stories spanning the truly sensual to the outlandish fantasy of strong Latina women while centering on a different holiday. No story is the same and the voices of the different contributors are quite distinctive.

Although the seven stories were well-written only a couple really stood out for me because of their sensual nature and cerebral effect they commanded. My absolute favorite was "Juan and Adela" by Michelle Herrera Mulligan which is about an older woman who falls for a younger man. Their attraction is too stimulating to ignore and what started as purely lustful is much more satisfying in the end. I also found "Don't Be Mad At Me" by Adriana Lopez to be an interesting storyline and although there were some erotic scenes the story itself still had me thinking about its outcome and almost feeling complete, but unfulfilled. The other stories touched on lesbianism, sadomasochism and fantasy.

Mulligan in her introduction states as sexy as Latinas are, they do not like to talk about sex because of their strict catholic upbringing. JUICY MANGOS reveals they too, have sexual desires. This collection has storylines to back up the sensual nature of the compilations, in other words these are real stories with the added bonus of erotica. Although I was not a fan of the stories involving sadomasochism and fantasy I cannot deny the imagery and pacing of these well-written stories. Fans of erotica with a cerebral edge will enjoy this collection because just like the mango, the stories are juicy.

What an entertaining book! It's great to see such and open an honest examination of this subject in an environment that has, for too long, tended to supress it. You go, girls!

Wow...I just purchased the book,and I can't put it down. Juicy Mangos is exactly that...Juicy....Trust me ladies,this is the book to read...you won't regret it...Men,feel free to read it as well.....common,you know you want to!The book consists of short stories.Ones fantasies are others reality right?This book is a great little escape packed with passion! Enjoy.

I didn't like it at all. It compares to other books written on the same topic. It didn't leave me wanting to read more more. After the first three stories I stopped reading. I could guess what wuld happen. Not original at all.
